Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Wow.

BTW, my time is estimated. I don't want to imply that I'm faster than Mansker. That dude is really fast.

I figured that would put some perspective for you. He is a machine. I was really happy to have him show up. These sprints are a fundraiser and PR for our effort to build a velodrome here in Sac.

So either your legs are getting sore from carrying around too much beer or you're going to kick my butt at the track later in Feb ;-)

In light of this whole idea, I've been flirting with the idea of buying a set of rollers, but don't want to break the bank. I was considering the Nashbar ones next time they toss up their general 20% off coupon like is always up, get it shipped for less than 120..

Start a new thread. I don't think this thread can handle a 2nd hijacking.
