I saw this the other day. I don't see how this would help. Being able to press leverage onto the pedal is determined by where the pedal is. The pedals will still make a perfect complete circle 360. So nothing will change where you are able to apply leverage to move the bike.

Could be wrong. But isn't clicking in my brain for some reason.

It might just be me, but I'm failing to see how a ****ing chainring would attach to that......

E: It was Indonesia

Chainwheel. Like a BMX bike. Look at the pic with it in the mold. That little hole next to the square taper is where the guide pin goes.

Missed that. Makes it even stupider.

Looks like a kick starter scam. I remember those cranks from a mid 90's Interbike. These guys probably found all the old stock somewhere....looks like they found a few suckers to buy in.

jackss731 09-29-12 01:35 AM

Ztorque cranks would be perfect for my ZNjs Frame.
its pretty sad but "there's a sucker born every minute"

It's not clicking because it doesn't help in any way - it makes abso****inglutely no difference what the shape of the crank is, only the distance between the BB spindle and the pedal spindle.

The fact that so many have pledged money for this scam makes me sad. People are pathetic.

It's weird that we're all using straight cranks, when L, Z or C-shaped ones have such "obvious advantages"

They are quite common. I have a couple sets.

Tristanh666 09-29-12 11:15 AM

oops.
how come they are so little?

Scrodzilla 09-29-12 11:27 AM

My dad had a set on an old Raleigh when I was a kid. I'm fairly certain their only intended purpose is to keep crud off the brakes and out of the headset.
