I saw this the other day. I don't see how this would help. Being able to press leverage onto the pedal is determined by where the pedal is. The pedals will still make a perfect complete circle 360. So nothing will change where you are able to apply leverage to move the bike.

Could be wrong. But isn't clicking in my brain for some reason.

It's not clicking because it doesn't help in any way - it makes abso****inglutely no difference what the shape of the crank is, only the distance between the BB spindle and the pedal spindle.
