I actually like that guys set up when he doesn't have those wheels on. Nothing wrong with 55/18 IMO.

I think the jackass thread has gone the ways of the bike porn thread. Hardly anything here is that jack. Maybe it doesn't meet our high-brow bike snob standards but it isn't that jack ass. Seems like the main reason half this stuff is in here is bar/saddle angle.

The bike with Zipps is for sure not jackass and the one before it may have a jackass rear rim but is also far from jackass. I agree with Epic this thread has strayed far from jackassery.

The fact that those Zipps are ridden on the street seems pretty jack to me.

This is true, but it's just not enough jack--not the same amount of jack this thread used to be. But as we say at SF Fixed, 'it's all relative.'

As a sidenote, he's probably not riding those wheels on the track. Pedalroom shows a few different wheel setups.

Exactly. Plus, riding a set of wheels that cost $3000+ on the street is just plain stupid.

shiiiiit. unless I think I'm winning something that pays me something on the track, I'm riding wheels that cost as much as my truck everywhere that I don't have to lock up. that's me tho!

So, basically what you are saying is that most roadies and trigeeks are stupid.

Unfortunately, that's typical triathlete training

It's not uncommon for trigeeks to not use training wheels and train and race on their race wheels. I think they are pretty weird, though.

Agreed. That wheel has no business being on that frame (cervelo).

it's an insanely expensive frame with an aerospoke ridden on the street.
