Got a chain tool, drill and a flat piece of metal that can fit inside the outer plates of a chain and 3 screws/hex bolts and nuts? If you do, make yourself a chainwhip.
Short piece 2.5 links, long piece, 8 links.
Try to mark the piece of metal through the inside half of the chain. You'll need 3 holes, the two closest to the end need to be 1/2" apart and the middle one and the one closest to the handle ~2-3 inches apart. From there find a drill bit that will fit inside the hole of the inner link. Drill out the 3 holes. Break chain so that the parts getting fastened to the piece of metal is the outer plates Take said screws/hex bolt and nuts and fasten chain onto the peice of metal. Wrap the bar with a good layer of tape and voila, you have yourself a chainwhip.
If you don't have these. You'll need a rag and a benchvise.
