Campagnolo? Seat Post
So the other night I came across an ebay auction for a Campagnolo seat post. I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever & had to have it. I ended up getting out-bid in the last seconds, but the next day I got a second chance offer & bought it for $130. Trouble is, I did no research in the item & now that I have it I can find no information about it on the web. Its full carbon with a machined aluminum clamp, weighs about 180 grams & the logo's seem to be screen printed. If anybody know's anything about this item pleas let me know.

it doesn't look like any campy post i've ever seen, and i am a bit of a campy-phile. often, campy hardware is also 'logoed'. do any of the bolt heads or clamp components have campy identified on them? look inside the end of the tube as well...s/n label perhaps?
if so, likely genuine. if not, could still be genuine...but i'd need some evidence.

I like the dichotomy of putting a [very expensive] ultra light weight seat post on your bike then topping it with a [very heavy] brooks saddle.
It is a nice looking post though.

Perhaps it's the Brooks with titanium rails?

K, not gonna quote every question. The post has no logos other than the screened ones, I'm kind of doubting its the genuine article. I'll post a whole bike pic soon in the "post yer bike" thread. I didn't get the post for its effect on the total weight of the bike, just really liked the look of it. Brooks is great but I just ordered a Selle An-atomica (my girl stole my other one for her bike). Ummmm, thanks everyone for piping in, I think I'll just ride it & not worry about authenticity, it totally holds the saddle on.
