Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

How heavy is it? I'm guessing 18-20 with the B43's.

the b43s are heavy but i'd put it between 18 and 19. sure it will be under 19 when i get some lighter wheels.

it's stiff as ****nuts though, which is the important part.

Wow, that's a heavy build; like a boss, pictures say it all. FTP's are on the heavy side of frames through... I believe it has to do with the reinforcement of the seat tube/ mast.

I rolled the bar forward more where they angle somewhat downward. The bar I want to get is something like these. Problem is I can’t find them anywhere.

The eighthinch drop too far down. I want to stay even or slightly above the top tube. I'm considering the Nitto's.

Another good option with even less drop/forward sweep are Velo Orange Porteur bars:

https://store.velo-orange.com/index.p...ar-config.html

I had some for a while and thought they were awesome.

You can raise your stem up a little to compensate for the drop...just a thought.

Dimension also makes an inexpensive 3-speed cruiser-type handlebar that you could cut a little off the ends and run upside down.

I have a pair on my beater:
