Looks like you're right in the middle: https://www.cyclesmercier.com/geometry_tt.html

If you go with the 50cm, you'll need a slightly longer stem.

If you go with the 53cm, you'll need a slightly shorter stem.

Somebody can explain exactly the differences between a long stem and a short stem in regards to handling and the Kilo' geometry.

Again thanks everyone for helping out What size stems/brand would you recommend?

Stem brand all depends on your budget You'll likely need a shim: https://www.retro-gression.com/produc...him-1-to-1-1-8 as most stems on the market are 1 1/8, rather than the 1" that the kilo has. Stem length will depend on what size frame you decide to go with but you want to get within what your calculator says to go with. Since you can't get the top tube length that it recommends, you will have to shorten or lengthen the recommended stem length as well.

Hi all, I'm looking to pick up a beater single speed on the cheap, I really wanted a plain matte black frame, and I just noticed the kilo comes in that stripper model in a flat black finish. I was wondering if someone could help me recommend a size based on experience (I have emailed BD, but have yet to hear back). I got measured at a LBS and this is the results. What size kilo for me?

You're 5'10" with a 32.7" inseam? Oh my goodness you have long legs. o.o

I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam and I ride a 53cm. The TT is a tad long, and considering your arms might be shorter, I think a 50cm would make a good fit. Your saddle will probably sit up high in relation to the TT, but at least you won't have to buy a super-short stem.

5'9", ~31" inseam, on a 53cm Kilo TT with an 80mm stem and risers. Rides fine, but I wish it were a size smaller.

oh, ok

so yea we crashed at a combined speed of 34mph, headon. his rockshox fork broke, wheel untrued, his giro helmet broke, he fell on his face bleeding. he broke my hand and my stem got a minor turn, aerospoke chipped but took ALL the dampening. i stayed with him til his buddies showed up, a firetruck pulled up but he refused help. i made sure he was ok. we still text each other.

Just going to reiterate how fun it was to ride with and finally meet some BFSSFGers.

Mucky's chrometastic kilo is an iconic bike. I knew I had found the ride meetup when I saw those dual spokes from a distance.
"Yup, that's mucky."
