hey leukybear, did you sell your mash and get a vigorelli? I'm deciding between the two right now.

my confession: bikeforums is a drug to me, which is all the more true considering i only hang out here when i run out of drugs. haha jk

and yes, i spend all my money on bike too, which means i don't have any left for drugs, which means i hang out here more, and get tempted into buying more bikes! the vicious cycle!! haha, jk again

Leukybear 05-04-11 05:02 PM

I was kidding about owning a MASH; I rode one and the geometry is not my tastes. Anyways if you care about value and the makings of a good eventually classic and valuable bike, get the vigorelli with true track geometry and cinelli livery with none of that MASH fanboyism. That is what removable stickers are for. Anything connected to a fad like MASH, does not hold it's value very well at all if you haven't learned anything from your childhood. How much are foil pokemon cards worth?

I try to exceed the speed limit while I'm on my bike. If I ever get a ticket I might frame it.

I have a vig and it's an amazing frame. got it from pro bike kit last summer for something like $580. i just get nervous about locking it up and letting it out of my sights. it's too pretty.

hairnet 05-07-11 08:20 PM

Can't say I havent tried this.

But I feel I am more likely to get ticketed for skipping a stop sign or something like that first.

I go into bike shops just to hang out. I pretend I'm looking for something in particular but can't find it so I can stay there longer.

Jesus, more and more people on this forum are just becoming full of ****. If you don't like the MASH, that's fine, I know I certainly don't care, I didn't buy the MASH over the Vig because I'm a "fanboy", I bought it because I preferred the geometry and colorscheme. I also bought my bike to ride, not to sell later or so that people on the internet would think it was cool (and since you and many others here don't seem to like the Mash, then the Vig would be the "cooler" choice.)

Also, true track geometry? Why don't you take a look at these two charts:

http://www.cinelli-usa.com/images/ci...relligeom.html
http://www.cinelli-usa.com/images/ci..._mashgeom.html

The Mash has a steeper headtube and seatube, and a shorter wheelbase in the small, medium, and large sizes. The Mash just has a longer seatube, creating the forward sloping effect, I don't see how this equates to "fake track geometry".

Also keep in mind that the chart is for the older Mash, not the newer version which has steeper angles, shorter chainstays, and a shorter wheelbase.

More and more this place seems to be about "being cool" by *****ing about others trying to be cool. Just relax.

I have plans of replacing my orbea orca with a bike from a company whose name begins with a "p" and ends with an "o".

Me too! Or sometimes, i'll know i need a few smaller things that i might not need right away so i break it down into three little trips throughout the week so i can go there more times and chill. Eventually, you get to know people. I love knowing people and making friends at my LBS.

Jesus, who said I was replacing it with another road frame? Road cycling is over rated and stupid. I'm getting a full NJS setup :D A presto!
WTF's a pinarello anyway? Sounds lame as hell for a name.

On another note I won't be getting another NJS frame if it's not a nagasawa in my half size. By the way, how did you know I was going to get a pinarello? Yes, I admit, those curves on the frame rival that of my wife's on my mind. Another hint: rhymes with slog.

This is how I started.

Wanted verification on a Univega that came into my possession. C & V had a photo thread on the subject. So I jumped in...

dogma? and it was just a guess. no other modern road bike companies with "p" and ending with "o".

I am trying to find a VISP frame when I still need to finish my current build... I'm also interested in a cinelli mash..

rustybrown 05-09-11 02:02 AM

I shot a gun today.

Also search BF for aerospoke and computer exploded.

hairnet 05-09-11 02:20 AM

What did you shoot with? My first time was trap shooting with 12 gauge shotgun and I was surprisingly underwhelmed :-/

A 22 rifle. Surprisingly underwhelmed myself. Expected kickback. Not even close.

Fun though. Aim is on point 40-50 yards. Hurrah!
