I am terrified to learn how to track stand. Keep telling myself to learn to skid, but I'm skerd.

Bikes: yes

Installed a bottle mount yesterday, then saw what an orange bottle looks like next to pink deep v's.
I was offended for about 2 seconds.

I went for a ride for the first time in a week yesterday (stupid flu..) and also did my first successful trackstand.

I got so excited that I tried it a second time and fell down in front of a car. Good thing the light still had time..

I rescued an old Ross frame some time ago. I was sitting against a street sign with a rusty chain, hanging derailleur and no wheels or bars. Clearly no one wanted it. Yesterday I removed the smaller chainring and repacked the BB bearings. Then I really looked at it and realized that it's like a 57cm or so frame. The problem: I'm 5'7". I was going to build it up as my "under $100" bike, but since it is much too large I think I'm going to get rid of it. Lame.

Take it to the Bike Kitchen. They could use it.

nah. i've been living here for going on 10 yrs. almost an honorary new yorker in my book. but i've been cycling heavily for the past year and a half. that incident was just funny to me.

but i listen to hot97 when i'm stuck in a cube truck going someplace. that and 103.5 for a little rock.

Bikes: EAI Toyo Gojira (Godzilla)

Reviving this thread because I like it.

My confessions:
- I HATE the phrase "pull the trigger" when used in place of "purchase." It seriously just irks me, can't explain it. Like nails on chalkboard. Guess it's a pet peeve?
- I hate unwrapped drops, and risers with tape instead of grips.
- I sent my brand new Godzilla frame to get powdercoated immediately after it arrived, despite the high quality paint job. Sorry Toyo!
- I have a trick fork but I can't do barspins yet. Sad face.
- I spend too much money for aesthetics.. I make it fit my budget by eating horribly and never going out to shows/cafes/society.
- I'm the only girl I know who never wears makeup or expensive jewelry. All my money is spent on bills and bike parts and my closest friends are my dogs. I love my life.

Almost twins! I don't wear any jewelry, expensive or not, and my closest friends are my cats haha. But most of my money gets spent on food. I ****ing love food. Eating is a hobby, right? (My cats eat super well too. Orijen, EVO, and raw meat from Whole Foods lol).

I'm extremely critical of ugly bikes (99% of bikes I see IRL), but usually only in my head.
