Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So do I, though riding is less expensive (except when I crash).

Since my Beverly Hills ride seems to be a dud, I am going to revive and old west side ride with some Bikerowave people. Look out for Cub Camp in the next couple weeks. Thursdays

4-door Integras are great. Wish I could keep my DB8. And **** Hellaflush. Style over substance. Never had one of those fashionistas beat my autox times.

I was correct to be afraid. Hills were not an issue but losing a chainring bolt was.

LUCY! I SPLODED MY CHAINRING

I did that once. Started mashing to make a traffic light in time and BOOM. Chain gone, ring tacoed. That was when I learned that riding with one chainring bolt missing actually is a serious problem.

I replaced the bolt before I did any serious riding. Luckily too because Hairnet and I did a decently paced ride tonight which I had to leave early from. I needed to eat, really badly.

I want to go fixed, but I'm too much of a puss because I have a ton of toe overlap and suck at getting into my straps.

While we're on the topic of cars:

my girlfriend has a Del Sol and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one myself if I needed a car. I don't care how "not cool" they are, I love those things.

If I ever own another Honda, it will either be a 89-91 CRX or a Del Sol. VERY cool cars IMO.
