You have some good stuff Timo.
Here's a shot I took today not of bikes but I liked it.

I shoot with a Pentax K-7 and a 1959 Ricoh double lens reflex. It's just a hobby.

Do any of you guys ride your bikes with an SLR on you? If so how do you go about carrying it?

I usually have my camera bag with me, but once and a while I'll toss it in my messenger bag, wrap it with a hoodie or something.

I have a small slr camera bag that fits camera with lens attached. It just goes on my belt, but my only complaint is it take a bit to zip and unzip the bag..the zippers needing waxing or something.

I have a camera sling bag that I use that accepts lens w/ camera, and 2 extra lenses which is all I need. I used to ride with my film camera just on my back but I wouldn't do that with a more expensive camera.

Sweet, I usually take my smaller SLR in a bag that just barely fits it (Nikon D60) and my 35mm lens. It seems to work okay, but I'm trying to figure out a way to just carry my camera without a bag without it swinging around on me.

The smallest camera that I've ever owned was also my favorite. I made hundreds if great photos with it.
Canon SD20

I used it A LOT. I snapped that photo of it before I lost it. I think I left it in a taxi.
Here is a reference pic of how small it is:

Traveling on bike with an SLR is a pain in the butt no matter how you look at it. I hate to say it. I'm speaking from experience. When I shot BMX, I would have to carry my SLR while riding to different spots with the guys doing tricks. I used one of those backpack SLR case things that looked like a school backpack. It sucked. You had to get off the bike and lay the bag flat on the ground to get access to the camera body and lenses.
My advice. Find a small camera and learn how to make great photos with it.

I usually shot with a canon sd750 when im on my bike, I was just curious if there was any way that people carry their slr's while biking that make things easier.
That being said I'm convinced it's not the camera it's the photographer, I bet you could get a good shot with just about anything.

this thread is growing a little too fast and becoming a "what did you shoot today" thread: someone go make a Daily Snaps thread
