aside from them saying "take the gasmask off" and him not complying, i cant see how that can even be viewed as a disturbance.

i grew up with a kid who literally wore bdus and combat boots every single day from 7th grade till after highschool and he was just the loser who didnt change his clothes

That Barq's had to be toast if you rode on anything but basketball court for more than 1/4 mile :)

i'd imagine that the constant jostling from bottling/transportation/stocking/handling was more severe than the 3mi ride home on my bike.
i let it sit for a bit before i opened it and all was well.....besides, i don't really drink soda, i just wanted to test out my anything cages!

Anyway, today I: registered for my first race, this Sunday, a 25 minute crit (Cat 5, obvs). Extremely excited and extremely nervous. I'll be riding it on a borrowed Trek 1.2, so it'll be my first time on a geared bike in basically ever. Will I be judged if I show up with clips and straps? I don't think the morning of a crit will be a good time to learn clipless pedals.

You will. I know a guy that did it and he never heard the end of it even though he did well. It's really stupid

I think the college parts will be the biggest part of the punishments, if he gets any. He got into colleges of the likes of Juilliard and such, so pretty high up.

You need a tool box. They are the best things to put bike stickers on.

got one! BUT generally i like to put stickers on my laptop but since i like the bars so much i figured id show off a sticker so the inside of the crank that ill soon be replacing would be ok.

Today I signed papers to accept my new job. Now I'm going to play bikes

Signed my lease, got $50 off and they gave me a Target gift card. And then I came home and checked my mailbox to find a package slip for my road shoes. So I'll be taking a nice long walk to the post office tomorrow to pick them up.

Today I reached a 1,000 miles in my first 11 months of cycling. A very slow 1,000 miles. I have glaucoma so I medicate a lot.

today i had to show another of my new coworkers how to use a computer, like: cut/paste, select multiple icons, highlight text, minimize/maximize windows, etc..

but, i have to keep reminding myself that the NY Dept of Corrections does 90% of it's work on a 1988 IBM green screen mainframe. i do love the feedback of the spring-loaded keyboard at my work station though....

got to ride in again today. at work i lock up to a signpost, but with the lot being plowed my bike sits on top of a 4' snowbank surrounding the signpost right now.

Did you do it, or did it come that way?

today I finished polishing all the parts for the stumpjumper. Hopefully I will have time to assemble it this weekend.

I'm insulted you even asked.

I attempted to retap the threads, but they're not repairable (by me, and I don't want to pay to have it fixed). So I just reinstalled it however I could. There's a lot of drag, but it's a beater.
If I decide I care down the road, I'll get a threadless BB and a new crankset. I might just do that anyway, as I really dislike the current crank.
I'm hoping it's a 68mm BB, haven't measured yet, but it's a 90's mtb, so I doubt it.

LesterOfPuppets 02-15-13 10:12 PM

My '96 Mongoose and '97 KHS are 68mm. My Team Marin is 68mm too.

This gives me hope. The Nishiki is a '91 though.

Fisher is the only big name I can think of with kooky BB sizing that far back.
