Today i got passed by a silage truck. Managed not to hurl.

Street rider 12-06-12 02:12 PM

Today I only have one paper thats due on Monday that I still have to write, having just finished the other two. I also went and bought an ugly christmas sweater, and in a few hours a few friends and I are taking a picture with Santa, all wearing short jorts and ugly sweaters. Going to be an awesome christmas card. And I only have three exams to really study for, and only one of those super seriously. So close to not being stressed out.

Today I was leaving the post office with my dreads tucked up inside a white tam when a guy parked in front yelled at me, "You ****ing towel heads should go back where you belong! I've got a kid brother in Afghanistan fighting YOUR war and you're over here doing whatever you want!" as he was getting out of his car.

Before I could even explain to him that was just an American dude with a lot of hair inside a big hat, he yelled "**** you! Shut up! You have no right! **** you!" as I got on my bike and rode away in disbelief that someone could be so insanely stupid.

Nagrom_ 12-06-12 06:51 PM

Racist and stupid.

They usually go together.

The proper response to that is telling him you hope his brother dies.

By proper I mean deserving.

That's not funny, and totally uncalled for.

I agree. It would have pissed him off but it wasn't his brother who slighted me. To say you hope someone dies in a war is pretty heartless. I know what you're saying though - he said some crazy, offensive **** to me and I could have fired back with something equally as crazy and offensive.

The proper response would have been stomping his head into the street. I chose the higher road.

Mumonkan 12-06-12 07:49 PM

People man, why?

Hereabouts, they're called rendering trucks. *gack*

Today I finished putting a bike together without putting stupid money into it.

Also got the go-ahead for building a custom Electra cruiser on the shop dime as a cheap intro to various specialty builds. Q order goes in next week. Saturday, I'll try to con the asst manager into a full-on winter commuter treatment with one of the CrossRips we just received and a bunch of in-stock parts...

Today I decided to flop-n-chop my drop bar, can't wait to try it out over the weekend.

Leukybear 12-06-12 11:49 PM

Today I:

Bought new shoes, it was serious business in my sqrl's opinion so she just had to tag along and ended up buying a matching pair.

AND put up my car on CL!

Adrian_ 12-07-12 06:33 AM

Today I turned 17... but UPS has still failed me and my frame was delayed a second time. I wouldn't be suprised if I don't get it until mid next week. I am disappoint!

prooftheory 12-07-12 07:02 AM
