At this point I still have no clue which route to pursue. Pros and cons to each, and I have plenty of time to work it all out for myself since it will be a little while before the roadie fund is at the proper numbers to actually buy a bike.

Speaking of which I saw on my weekend roadie ride that they had changed up the livery:

And the fork legs...
It's just less prominent on some colorways: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Cannondale-CA...D3g~~60_35.JPG I believe nags has this fork. |

Currently loving my chinese build more than any other bike I've ridden. FM015 is awesome. Not sure what happened with your build. If I could afford it, I'd love to upgrade to this (cervelo knockoff): http://images.chivelo.com/2012/06/FM066-Img.jpg |

They've been there since the '12; just like the seattube logo. ;)

Only $400 http://www.treefortbikes.com/product...No-7-Road.html Not really a big difference if you were implying the enve is expensive. |

i mostly just like metal, dont really know what it is about it.
i like carbon on parts but i dont think id love a full on carbon frame yet, though ive yet to actually ride one |
Nag how do you know the fork even makes a difference if you haven't tried either. Unnecessary if you ask me. I highly doubt one is gonna dampen the road any better or be any stiffer then the other.

Don't know if I'm gonna miss out on anything. I'll probably stick with the whisky fork. |

Took out my first fixed gear project out, I enjoyed it. Have to get used to stopping but I'm not terrible at it. Hardest thing is getting into my cages not being able to coast.

i like carbon on parts but i dont think id love a full on carbon frame yet, though ive yet to actually ride one ive never owned a really high grade carbon frame though so I can't comment there. every aluminum frame ive owned has been better than what im riding right now (generic kinesis, r1000 caad8, soul faith): http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7054/6...41d5d3f1_b.jpg the frame is garbage. all together the bike is nice ofc but thats becuase the components and wheels are the dopesauce. compared to the above mentioned alu frames, this one handles slower, feels less stable (worst of both worlds), and creaks when I really pour the juice on it, like over 600w or so. a couple of my larger sized teammates have developed cracks in the bb shell. At first I was stoked to be able to buy this thing for ~2k but now i think im just gonna give it back at the end of the year. next year should be giant tcr advanced. i hear its much better. |

Monk - Giant TCR advanced is an awesome frame... Not all carbon is created equal. My current fantasy frame is a Wilier Cento 1. http://www.competitivecyclist.com/im...2012-zoom2.jpg $2699... more than all of my bikes put together :P |
Guess I'll just use the whisky fork then?
I'm ass backwards. |
Yeah, Whisky stuff is awesome.

i used to be "no plastic bikes" until i got my tim.
he's a very special bike and i love him even though he's mostly plastic http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8176/7...47db9340_b.jpg |
that is a sexy bike, even with the rear sloping top tube.
|
yeaaaah.... Tim is hot.

you gotta imagine that Time put significant effort and R&D into a machine like that. would ride.
my Blue is mass-produced, prob relabeled a hundred times, soulless, and has no class. |

Would have to size down to make it work. I also am considering tan sidewalls for my bike. I just love the look with all black. Partial to the smaller CAAD10 frames (55 and below) with excessive stem and setback. It's all the rage these days. |
First time on beer duty
