I'm ass backwards.

I would echo the comments to get the stock fork. My teammate had a caad9 with a aftermarket fork and he had some issues like high speed wobble. When he replaced it with the stock premium slice all the issue were gone. I have not looked into the geometry but I bet Cannondale pairs the two for a reason.

Yeah, I did with a paint pen.

Adrian_ 12-05-12 02:31 PM

Today my frame was supposed to get here but I checked the tracking and it says my package wasn't unloaded from the trailer -_-. My exact words spoken out loud were "**** UPS!"

Just checked the measurements on the two forks.

The stock caad10 fork has an ATC of 365mm, the Whisky has 367mm. Both have a rake of 45mm.
I think I'm just going to stick with the whisky. That difference is really small.

Did the math, it adds 1mm to my trail.

LesterOfPuppets 12-05-12 04:47 PM

If you miss that 2mm diff, run a 23 up front and 25 in the back.

seau grateau 12-05-12 04:49 PM

Today I watch Simpsons and do laundry. Later, drink beer. Life is exciting.

Yeah, Did a little more math, and using 25's instead of 23's affects the trail more than using the whisky fork.

Just gonna use the whisky fork.

Today I had to drill another hole in my belt because it was too big again. Feels good.

jdgesus 12-05-12 09:18 PM

RGNY 12-05-12 09:26 PM

finally got the clue that i should take my lights off my bike and bring them inside when temps are going to be below freezing overnight.

showed a friend how to close a knife wound with super glue. unfortunately it was my knife wound.

admitting to myself that i prefer inexpensive Spanish red wines.

I fell on some wet leaves, for the second time in 4 days. And both were the same type of fall, and I landed on the same place (my butt). It hurts a lot. Like a lot a lot. I guess I should stop going so fast in the dark on wet days.

jimmytango 12-05-12 10:33 PM

I just dislocated a thumb and broke a friend's nose while sparring with wooden tantos. Fun, until the nose break. Also, D&D and a lot of drinking. Good day.

Oh, except for getting my schedule for next week. On the one hand lots of time to ride, on the other hand I will have zero dollars. Winter at bike shops blows.

ftfy.

i have 12 hrs this week on my schedule. awesome time to get no money.

jimmytango 12-06-12 12:11 AM

Yeah, I have 12.5 hours next week. Oh, and the DM went over the store manager's head and hired someone from outside of the company to fill the position I've been training for/basically been doing for the last month. Meanwhile, one of ly former kitchen employees just got a gig working 50 hours per week at $14/hr and told key that, with my culinary pedigree, I could probably get $20. Considering it.

i hate when things like all of that happens. i recently was practically begged to do a managers job for the season at my store. i agreed and my imbecile GM "didnt know" i had to do mandatory training. so much for a $500 bonus..not doing anyone favors at that place anymore.

hope the kitchen gig works out, i remember you were miserable with the last place and you seem pretty happy now. but there are a-holes everywhere so not a lot can be done about that

J Pedals 12-06-12 01:35 AM

Just got a second job! Agreed to do an 8 hour training shift in the morning without realizing it was immediately after a 9 hour overnight at my primary job.

Energy drink FTW.

Today I got this sw8 belt from a friend who makes them - "Halo Belt"

The build quality is excellent - and this light is very functional in the dark and can be worn many ways.

Personally will be wearing this belt every ride at night. It has a strobe mode and I barely notice it when I'm riding.. Costs $85, so I wouldn't ever buy one.. But free is awesome. Stoked.
