No seriously a RAM upgrade is a must for a stock netbook.. on another note, immediately after I bought the ram from amazon they spike the price up to $35 LOL

Yeah, the cost of the SSD was pretty high compared to the cost of the netbook, but I have no regrets. And I had memory leftover from a laptop, so maxed out the netbook at 2GB.

Today I got in 75 miles, making it 215 total miles over a 3 day period.

Woah. Nice!

Today I went on a 20ish mile ride with my old man since he just bought a Trek 850 on cl. I felt bad for having to charge ahead on the long hills since he could gear down but he kept up the pace just as well as my friends my age :)

Also I think I have a buyer on my mtb. I'm gonna go to my LBS tomorrow and try out a couple of 29ers to pick a frame size and then order a Deadeye. +1 SSFG :D

yeah man, sounds terrible.

Tonight I rode from Echo Park to Dockweiler firepits and then back. I brought a sqrl, hollard and realized if she does like me, i may not want to mess with that.

Today I can barely stand up after blowing out my back yesterday carrying heavy steel shelving up to our warehouse room. I believe a trip to the chiropractor is in order.

Today I rode my commuter to work after several days on the fixed gear, and coasting felt weird.

Today I let my undergrad purify plasmid for me, somehow he screwed up enough to leave me with way too low of a concentration to work with

Today I started my last week at my summer internship. Feels good.

800mg Ibuprofen every 4 hours with food. That's what was prescribed to me when I did something similar. And by something similar I mean catching my collegiate cheerleader girlfriend when practicing stunts because I was jealous of her partner looking up her skirt all day.

2nd last week here, feels great knowing i no longer have to work here and that this isn't a career option at all. i never want to work in a production plant again even if i am writing code for them. everyone is just entirely too dumb for my liking and everyone calls me pretty boy/tough guy because i bike to work/don't weigh 250 lbs or something. honestly i'm kind of ugly i have a syst the size of a bouncy ball on my left cheek and a small tire around the stomach that's slowly going away the last 10 lbs are the hardest. can't wait to go back to my happy life at uni where everyone passed high school at least.

That's undergrads for you... I deal with the buggers full time....

Just finished unloading my car. I made it 35 miles Friday before my front tire failed. It couldn't be patched, so I had to call my wife to pick me up. Ended up driving to the lake, but I still call this a win.

Almost made it.

We found an awesome rock quarry in the park, fished, ate hot dogs, drank a TON of water. I got completely fit-shaced Saturday night and only slept like 5 hours the whole weekend. I can't wait to do it again.

Dannihilator 08-08-11 12:01 PM

Today I decided to ride the DJ on a street session instead.

TitoJones 08-08-11 12:08 PM

One week ago today I broke both wrists going over the handle bars (and part of a car) on my Bianchi. I can finally type and use a mouse again. 5 more weeks until I can ride again.

That's pretty much what I've been doing - along with alternating heat/ice - but it's a little trickier than that with me. I fractured my L2 vertebrae (among many other bones) in a bad car accident back when I was 20 and every now and then my back decides to really hate me.

This just made me laugh out loud so abruptly that my cat freaked and got all low to the ground.

It was actually yesterday, but...

Transferred parts from my ride to a new-to-me Scattante SSR frame that I scored in a trade for computer parts. When my better-with-a-wrench-than-I friend took the cranks off my old frame, he noticed that there was no grease at all applied anywhere (pedals, BB), which is weird considering the cranks/BB were installed by an LBS a year ago.

Also, turns out the LBS messed up the threading on the DS crank hole so the crank puller we were using couldn't catch, which left me unable to remove my cranks/BB. Good thing homie had a spare set of 105 cranks and old loose bearing BB.

This is after the same LBS ordered a Cane Creek S-3 at my request, then when i picked it up, presented me with an Aheadset ZS. "Oh yeah this is the same size" and "it's $30 cheaper". I know i could've got an S3 cheaper online but it's been a while since I bought any bike parts local and wanted to support them. Turns out the Aheadset cups were too big for the SSR headtube, so I ended up transferring the stock Dawes MTA headset over just to get the bike in rideable shape.

The LBS owner and staff are really nice, so I don't want to blow up their spot, but i really hope they get their **** together. On the plus side, I now have a bike that fits me, and I learned how to press a headset.

last night I went to a wedding and saw a lot of people from high school. I graduated 9 years ago, was like a mini reunion.

got drunk out of my mind. open bar and last one to leave (with my friend) = good times. came home, booty call was dtf. woke up, ate a gyro and french friends. pretty good 12 hours.

dsh 08-08-11 12:22 PM

you may have had fun, but i doubt your french friends enjoyed it much.

Scrodzilla 08-08-11 12:23 PM

hahahaha

nuhtowel 08-08-11 12:46 PM

Today I was almost assassinated by a door knocking over a cart full of 4L flasks

Today I took in my s80's to be trued and I got to test ride a pinarello dogma 2. I don't know if it is the placebo effect of riding one or the sex in the curved stays and fork that makes me lust madly for it. Still no idea for what color to choose, even though I got to ride the floor model which was a pimped out di2 in the more expensive black/black colorway which harkens to a chinese ebay pinarello.
After riding it, and talking some more bike stuff with the mechanic who was the only one there, it was early and he opened the shop up; my hand was twitching to pull out my wallet to put a deposit up on one. I only know how this is going to end up by the end of the week...

A uncommon feature I have to point out and share is how the seat clamp takes a torx wrench as opposed to a hex.. and that they come in as small as 42cm...

Another fact, is that it takes BB30, so I'm going to need a new crankset as opposed to shifting my entire red group from my orca :troll:
