Today I:
New front tire. Yay. Then, I went to a beer event wherein Ommegang released Iron Throne, which is their first Game of Thrones beer. I also got some Zombie Dust and a couple of other rare Chicago beers. Good times.

Today I bought a new rear light (Knog Blinder) since my last one decided to hop off and smash into the ground two nights ago, two sets of rim tape for my rims, Sea foam green leader fork and tomorrow I'll be purchasing my omnium crankset to get her rideable. Good day.

Rode in the San Jose bike ride today on my road bike. Felt completely over-equipped for going just 12mph. I rode with a friend who owned a 10 year old Trek carbon road bike with Ultegra. He wanted to trade bikes so we did for a few miles. I think he was in love with my Bianchi even with the Sora groupset; I had to ask for it back because he didn't even try to switch back. I like my bike better too (cosmetically), but I've got to admit that his bike shifted and rode so smooth.

Last night I did some party hopping, and miraculously didn't run in to my ex, who decided to come to town for the weekend. It was funny to see a lot of people who we're both friends with, and that they all said the same things about her. Not on a positive note, either. And some guy at one party gave me two bottles of stout. One was from Wisconsin, and it seriously tasted like I was drinking a cold glass of coffee. It was amazing.
Today I wanted to head to a bar here thats holding beerfest, with 100 different craft beers. And only because myself and one friend are the 'beer guys' of our group, and we just try lots of quality beers.

Today I got hit by large pickup truck, while road riding. Truck blew past a stop sign hit me on the right side and all of sudden I'm laying on the pavement and my bike's far from me. Did not get seriously hurt, just a broken nose, twisted ankle and some road rash on my left elbow. Could've been fatal considering the size of the truck.
My Big Block's totaled from what I could tell. I'll get the bike back Monday and see the damage, the frame is bent beyond repair at the rear stay.
And I later figured out that while I was being taken to the hospital the police simply let the driver move along. I'm going back monday to get my bike and figure out what happened after I left, calling the PD was useless.
There's been 2 very serious accidents in Brazil last week, threes been many others before and it seems like no one cares.

Today my Trek is once again road-worthy, although the stem's clamp bolt is seized and I'm not too happy with the position of the hoods right now.
Either way, super stoked.

Today I pushed myself to bike much farther than I ever thought I could (still a short ride by the this place's standards).
Today the PCH was all cool and overcast. Perfect day for a solo century
