Today I flatted 4 times in the span of two hours, all for different reasons, across two bikes. Staple in rear tire of road bike, halfway to work; limped it home, swapped to fixed gear bike. Rear blowout hitting a nasty pothole way too fast about a mile from work, said **** it and rode it the rest of the way to work without stopping. Replaced with a new tube (last one), back together, just noticed it's flat again 10 minutes later -- there was a sliver of glass in the rear tire too that I didn't notice, even though I thought I checked pretty carefully. Guess not carefully enough. Replaced with a patched tube, back together. Just heard a pop, patch failed, **** bikes man. Out of tubes, patches, and motivation to fix it again.

Today I packed up my Fuji for shipping, returned an amazon purchase, rode some singletrack, and built a computer. I only ate 1 1/2 meals today. Asses and elbows.
Now I can't calm down enough to go to sleep. |
Today I rode my FG into a bunch of wind and was about to say something about my poor knees when I saw Doohickie's post.

I heard you were also smokiing a cigarette, blindfolded, and had your hands tied behind your back, while riding through a foot or two of snow. Those slings suck, when I broke my shoulder I wore one of those for a brief time. Drove me nuts, didn't hold the arm well at all. |

Today I took my last exam of the year, came home, made pancakes, and now I'm just hangin around the apartment. Really don't want to start the long process of cleaning and packing to take off Saturday.
