Today I:

- Swapped cranks on the TET and FTP
- Sold the FTP frame/fork/headset/chain/Omniums
- Swapped out the crappy stamped steel cranks and rusty BB with a new (used) BB and some weird mismatched Shimano cranks/Race Face chainring on the polo bike

went back and forth about ******* times on how to brake my "track" bike (rear bridge, undrilled fork).

finally went w/ a clamp-on front brake. not the prettiest, but i can always take it off for the crazy street cred.

sounds good. no need to be a hero.

****ing cat four filled up a few days ago so i threw some zipties around my shifters and raced SSCX. i was doing good but the masters cat3s were on the course a minute before us so they saw my deraileurs and thought i had been lapped, and ended up pulling me before my last lap. people behind me were allowed to finish, so i was a little pissed.

Blame the sandbaggers. The ones that got the podium spots most likely should have been a category or two higher. This is one of my biggest turn offs with racing these days.

Today I rode my beloved Schwinn Maddy for what may be the last time. =0(

Today/tonight, I rode to the Independent's day music festival downtown, had some brews, good food, good bands.

Then I rode to my friends house, chilled at her place for like 4 hours. good time

Set up the new bird cage... as it was designed for a Macaw it is pretty huge but really nice for the Indians (Ringnecks) to have lots of room to move and play when they are not flying around the house.

get the 500, i like the maps and **** on the 800, but its so damn big (twss) and it chows thru battery time like a mofo.

i'll do those "training" rides with you, but im sure we'd both ready for 400K
