today i tried to deliver a "test" cake with my P.T.V. (pastry transport vehicle)
it didn't make it so well... regular pastries/cookies are just fine, but cakes, still haven't figured a good way to get fragile cakes around town with a bike.

Whip up a suspension for it!

Today I went to a chinese tea house for dim sum with my friends; ended up racking over a $100 tab, figures since it was my treat.

Oof; a lot. This time was a party of 11 including me; all bros and their wives.
I happen to be returning to San Diego by the end of the week.

On another note, me and some friends are going for a night ride tonight along the Oakland hills.

I get a few turns in with my pipe cutter and BAM my pipe cutter explodes.

Worst part? I can't get my spacers/stem back on, so it's presently unrideable.

Should I just take it to the hacksaw and clean up the mess with a file? Or risk another pipe cutter?

Someone OT'd the pipecutter. Even with a pipecutter, never rush it, rushing it, leads to over tightening. Over tightening leads to failed pipe cutters. Go at it again with a another pipecutter and an 1/8th of a turn for every full rotation until the blade cuts through.

Alright, I'll give it another shot. I definitely admit to rushing it.

Today I bombed a midterm and as a result I'm drunk.

tonight while riding Ride With No Name my fixed side of the hub decided to strip on a downhill. Me being a brakeless dumbass had to rotafixed the cog onto the free side and prey to get home alive. A Sqrl chilled with me. I feel like I have beer goggles on.

Tonight I went on a sporadic ride at midnight, leaving base heading through Cannery Row. I followed it all the way down and around, ending up at Asilomar beach. The road there seemed a lot longer than usual, but there was not a car in sight, no lights blinding me, much warmer weather than I expected. It was a really nice ride, chilled at the beach for a while. Then, I had to find my way back, cut through some housing, eventually found my way heading down Central.

Also, almost had my bike stuck in one of those turning metal gates that people can go in and out of. I didn't want to go all the way to the other side of base to leave, attempted to put bike through gate, wheel was caught, sad times were had until I wiggled it free. Not really sure how I would have explained that one.

I've never used anything but a fine-toothed hacksaw and a file. As long as you're careful, you'll be fine.

Hey, where do you work? I should stop by your restaurant and say hi. We need a BFSSFG secret handshake or something.

Nice. My friend vacuum formed some pie holders (at least he had planned on it, dont know if he ever did) to attach to his front basket. He runs the Piecycle out U-district, don't think he's doing right now though.

I'm at Kitsch'n on Roscoe for the moment. Chef-Consultant, but my contract expires on the first so if you're gonna come in do it before then. And yeah, a secret handshake would be rad.
