I think I'll keep eggbeaters on my (other) brakeless bike, those are easier to clip back in.
LOOKS not for brakeless.

I'm planning to contact my artist after I get back from a work trip in a few weeks... will probably be a couple months before I actually get in to see her though. If she likes my idea - she is really in demand and can be really picky about her projects. But the plan is to get a half sleeve, eventually.

Today I feel a bit woozy, probably coming down with something. Also, the closest reputable shop is booked through Thursday of next week...

I also did CM tonight..in SD

It was alright. We rode through Horton Plaza mall parking garage at one point it was exciting for a bit until it was like parking garage purgatory and mall security was trying to shove people off bikes and jumping in front of everyone. At one point the head honcho security bro in a suit tried to shove my dad off his bike, so he just leaned right back into the bastard to stay upright.

It's pretty fun and the scenic aspect is awesome but I easily get sick of people who ride like jackasses.

normally our CM is awesome. but this time they let the 'toxic shocks' (a group of butch-ish for [lack of better term] girls who ride together on mondays) lead it. It was clear they just didn't plan things in accordance to having 400 people. we stopped at a small convenience store as a stop. we ended up on 1 lane roads. it was a nightmare.

YES this^.

Plenty of people who see CM as an excuse to drink and act like fools.

What city are you in? 400 people is not too bad compared to what SD gets like in the summer (i guess san diego is big enough though)...tonight had to have been close to 2000..imagine all that going through a parking garage or like last month through Petco Park and then for some stupid reason through tiny 40 wide walkways that run parallel to the train tracks near Petco.

That's exactly how I am with big groups also. I had figured 1000 but my drunk dad was saying "had to have been more than 1000. Maybe like 2000 and I was in the navy on a ship with 4500 people and I know what 4500 people looks like blah blah blah"

San Jose Bike Party can get from 2000 - 3500 or more in the summer. you get a fair amount of jackasses but just the sheer amount of bikes alone leads to all sorts of problems, from crashes to snarled traffic
