Tonight I got pulled over on my bike for not stopping at a stop sign. After all the routine stuff, cop said, "You're pretty quick on that thing." I feel so awesome. |

Today a lady motorist yelled at me while I was riding my bike in a lane that is lawfully designated for buses and bicycles only. I noticed her when she started leaning on the horn. Obvious course of action: Stay the course. Verbal exchange at the red light went something like:
Her- *******! Get out of the way! Me- Okay! Her- Yeah, just take your time, *******! Me- Will do! |
Today I sat out of my usual Saturday group ride; instead, I went with my wife to our LBS for her appointment to be properly fitted to her gdi2 by a professional; we'll be aiming for at least 70 mi tomorrow!

Today I went to the LBS to get a headset installed since I don't have the proper tools to press it in... they said, "We don't have time''. Even for a repeat customer on a 15 min. job? Okay. Went to the co-op and did it myself which is what I should have done in the first place. Threw on a new stem. Ate some bbq at mi madre's casa. Went for a ride with a buddy while the roommates hit the bars, giving me a chance to roll on a new wheel set; A++. All in all not a bad day.

just picked up a large wood vise to install my FSA zero stack headset. couple pieces of scrap wood to protect the cups and the job was done. even remembered to grease up (after the fiasco with the crown race.....rookie mistakes....gah!).
also joined the 21st century and got some digital calipers. |
