Sherblock, if you ride a 54, I have a bike for you to ride. Otherwise, we could still grab a drink sometime. DM me if you're interested.
Edit: Disregard haha. |
Fresh Windows 7 install.... done. ET: 3 hours.
I need a drink. |
Today my firearm obsessed buddy invited me over for some beers and to check out his gold plated magnum research desert eagle that he just took delivery of. His been talking about for the last month and half after putting up the deposit for it. So beefy and $$$$. He also tried to sell me his colt ar15 in attempt to recoup some the cost. Sure, a semi-auto rifle is all I need.

Hungover as ****. Barely alive. Had a blast at the Tour de Fat. My buddy won a bike! More details later. Gotta go puke some more...
|
Spent too much money at a strip club. Don't regret anything.

Okay here's the footy of my buddy Marco winning/earning a pretty sweet New Belgium Fat Tire cruiser. This is the final round of competition - there were 3 rounds total. A really fun day. I did the bike parade/ride at 10am and then quick came home to grab a few things, but other than that I was there the whole day. Danced my ass off, and if you knew me, that would describe just how tore up I was (I don't dance). Food trucks, bikes, beers, bands... good people, good times. |

so pimp. it's what, like $2 now every time you pull the trigger? those .50's aren't cheap. but, like oversized SUV's, i suppose if you can afford the car you can afford the gas... :) |

yeah lots of mine got misplaced moving, i had plans to hike up Mt. Marcy this year and possibly spend the night in late fall, not sure if ill still be doing that unless i wanna go full on bushcraft and build a shelter (which im sure parks dept would get angry about)
today i did not wake up at 5 am, because my alarm that is set from my phone didnt go off. why? because my drunk ass never plugged it into the charger last night. now i gotta wait for it to charge before going out to CP. |
Got up early today and went for a ride on my roadie.Every time I get on it I'm amazed how nice that DeBernardi rides.I think I'll have to grab one of their Track Frames too while they still make 'em in Italy.

Today I smoked my hangover away and put a new stem on my ride. Then went to test drive it and pick up some bagels for me & the Mrs.
The stem is great (90mmX125deg) and totally got my seat to bars drop to a more reasonable amount. Dimension stem (no one else makes that angle), black (switching all my components to black). *Ride was NOT uneventful however. I found out what happens when you lay the bike down while you're still strapped in. :o I was at a red light with a car behind me. It was 7am so I thought there was a good chance I would get to run the light since traffic is so light on Sunday mornings. I was wrong so I was doing a slow tight circle to kill some time without having to put a foot down... I was rolling real slow and hit a spark plug or some kind of debris which stopped me in my tracks. And since I didn't see the debris (wasn't even looking down) I wasn't ready for it and I just laid it down on my left side haha. It's an awkward thing to experience - a 6 and a half foot man falling over from so high up, whilst strapped to a big-ass bicycle. Haha. So I know it must have been a funny thing to see. Nothing I could do but chuckle and get back up. No damage done. Nice delicate easy fall. Embarrassing though, that's for sure. |

Nah, man. This won't be competitive at all. It's more for filming purposes than anything. I'll be racing. I'm pretty sure Kaz has class, but maybe when it's over she will come out. I haven't asked.
What say you? :) |
LL, I'm not sure that's a good first/beginner alleycat. It's not one we're throwing (we're just helping promote) and it sounds pretty legit. But you could always offer to work a checkpoint to see how it goes (if you're interested in doing so, let me know and I can see if they need anyone). Working CP is a great way to get a feel for the alleycat scene.
Today I have to go pick up my bike with my car... Last night got really dehydrated to the point where I felt like I couldn't ride my bike home so I left it locked up in Wrigleyville. Hopefully it didn't get puked on, LOL. |
Here's another quick video from the Tour de Fat. This is an area full of crazy one of a kind bikes that you can try to ride. Notice the 3-person spinngin cycle of death in the middle. No one was brave enough to try that one while I was filming. It was wild when people did though. Also, I had the best cheese & pepper tamales ever and I was kicking ass at powering the bicycle powered mist tent. They had a cycle hooked up to a keg of water and cycling the cycle would compress the air/water inside the keg and spray it out through various nozzles on a hose that snaked around the ceiling of the tent. Pretty neat.

If you or bryan are working it, I'd tag along and help out. |
Today I will be at the beach all day.

Some friends and I went and fired a S&W 500 for part of a guy's bachelor party. It's intense - that kind of firepower in a handgun. One of the guys noted the muzzle flash is literally the size of a campfire. Serious recoil too. Fun times but I don't think I would want to shoot it often, too violent. .40S&W is plenty big for me.
|
I've fired a .357 magnum and it was intense. Too much recoil for little ol' me.
|
.357 magnum is a hot load. definitely packs a punch. you can fire .38 ammo in a .357 though for less recoil and power, if you just wanted to work on getting comfortable with the weapon and not flinching and whatnot.
|
That was years ago, when I lived in Texas. I'd like to go to a shooting range now to play with guns, but doubt I'll ever getting around to figuring out how to make that happen.

I used to have a 9mm and a .40S&W (both Glocks) but I sold them. Now I only have my deer hunting shotgun. |
