I have always pronounced it, and have never heard it pronounced otherwise, dura, like in "durable", ace, like ten, jack, queen, king, ace.
|
got my commuter ready for tomorrow when it's supposed to be less lightning/hail/tornado warning out.
one bike gone. -finally- unloaded the 09 Fuji League that got no ride time. now trying to decide between: a frame upgrade for the CX commuter ('no name' steel to alu/carbon), or taking on the responsibility of the care and feeding of a vintage roadie if i can find one. |

Oh yea, I pieced together the KHS Flite 100 today. I don't know why I have 3 steel bikes. :(
I've got 8. Had an aluminium one briefly, but otherwise nothing but steel for life! I always pronounce it like Nagrom does. Most folks I know do, also, besides this one dude I know who doesn't pronounce the "a" in Dura, so it sounds like Durace. |
Today I had a fun 74 mile road ride.
|
I meant it like mari-achi, but an e instead of an i
This makes so much more sense in my head |
Today I may have ordered a new frame...
|
aluminum?

I had a Bern. I took it off on a train and forgot it there, and that was the end of that.

Got some work back from our new plater... nickel and chrome goodness.
Suspension corrected fork that would look great on a vintage mtb... have a customer that does the most amazing work building up SS bikes and he will like this. http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikep...nsuspfork2.JPG Chromed road fork and a custom stem... http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikep...orkchrome1.JPG http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikep...temchrome1.JPG |
