Just got home from FMLY. It was pretty cool. Enjoyed the music much more then last ride.
Ex being there bugged me out a bit. Sobriety wasn't as bad, saw folks I haven't seen in quite sometime. No idea what to do about mother's day. It's a holiday most cannot avoid haha.
Also, hit me up sometime dk2ck.
P.S. i think I'm starting to fall in love with the T1 like I never felt for my leader. It's quick, agile, smooth ride and an absolute blast.

yeah, it's pretty epic. I was talking to a couple guys tonight and it feels like that world you think of when you read rolling stone, or some other music magazine where they talk about a "Scene" when its underground. Tonight one stop was under the 10 freeway past skid row in down town. You could walk into this area that was between 2 freeways, they were blasting electronic music. People are really nice, sharing is stupidly common, you know most people by face if not by name and hugs are the most frequent greeting. I feel blessed to be part of it.

Woke up early today to beat the Central Park crowds and wound up in the middle of a large 4 mile run, for Japan. Going through an intersection a pedestrian emerges from the runners, walks right front of me. I jam on the brake, my rear wheel must've been 4 feet in the air, but the collision is really light, and after exchanging pleasantries we both walk/ride away. The upper loop was closed, though, so i couldn't even do hill repeats. Poo.
The best part was the collective "Oh!" from the about 200 runners who saw it happen.

Today I went on a 10 mile ride (round trip) to the Farmers Market to pick up some flowers for my girlfriend. I'm beat, had to climb Torrey Pines on the way there, and then La Jolla Shores drive on the way back.

Today I half cracked a paper because I'm already acing the class and this won't affect it much and I didn't feel like doing it.

Today I got up super early and cooked brunch for lots of people. Got home and stared at the bikes hanging in my garage with no motivation to ride any of them.

Today I was mashing up to speed and popped out of my right clip. It was way to loose.
Goes to show, give your bike a once over, or many a twice over, before a ride to make sure nothing stupid happens.
Luckily i didn't fall or anything, but it was startling.

Today I went to church, went to Hardee's, called my mom, and studied for my engineering materials and applied linear algebra classes.
Studying. Herp/derp. I haven't touched my bike all day, which is weird.

Did some work in my shop and installed a new bottle cage and bell...

Joined up with a Critical Lass ride... I was the first guy who has ever done this..
Went to the co-op and volunteered and built up a sweet single speed for resale.
Enjoyed a lot of riding on the CCM today... clean and simple... and such a nice feeling to be flying.

Today I finally knocked out the first commute on my Madison. Beautiful morning and beautiful ride, except for the garbage truck passing me like three times on my way up 6th Ave. #trashface
And yesterday while out riding in BK with wifey I saw Rocket from "Triple Rush" saying to some guy "Recognize me? I'm from Quick Trak!

Schwinn and Raleigh were powerhouses and could ask their suppliers to make pretty much anything with their name on it and to their own particular specs... this is what many "Schwinn Approved" parts are... outsourced manufacture.

Today I rode home from work in a tank top! And shorts! And of course got whistled at by a dumbass in a pickup truck. Plus I had like a 15mph tailwind so it was a pretty nice ride home. (The headwind this morning sucked, however.)
Today I learned I have a commuting nemesis - a woman in a beat up hyundai that likes to talk on a phone (old school, not hands-free) and smoke a cigarette at the same time while driving. Second time in less than a week that I've had a close call with her.
