Today I made some calls looking for a bigger/better space for Retrogression HQ. Going to check out one possibility (that's about two minutes from my house) on Wednesday.

It'll still be better because we'll be able to stock stuff that we just don't have room for now, plus more room for our growing collection of sewing equipment/supplies. I've been wanting to post some pics of the space on our site but it's always way too much of a fustercluck and looks even worse in photos than in real life.

Find one with a place for a cot and you'll have yourself a full time sewing machine operator and shipping and receiving supervisor...

If you'll work for free, I can see that working out.

I got up bright and early today to rebuild my front wheel because I hit a pot hole last night and was too lazy to mess with it; found out today that the whole thing is off-tensioned due to my initial build. So I might as well rebuild the darn thing and have it nicely tensioned.
The rim is straight, no flat spots but it does have a small dent on the machined wall near the bead hook. I don't think it's anything too serious and will use the same rim.
Bad news is, the stupid pot hole bent the hell out of one of the spokes and will have to be replaced but the co-op isn't open yet.

I most likely will, just because.
I stripped my mother loving hub today! I went riding after changing my cog and I guess I didn't tighten the mother loving lockring as much as I thought I did. Rotafixed the **** out of the cog and rode home. IRO hubs have the same dimensions as Formula hubs right?
after so many cog changes. -sigh-

I thought today was Monday so I missed my drafting class this morning. First day of the summer semester should start on a Monday not a Tuesday.

Today I rode my usual 20mi round trip commute to/from work, came home and grilled burgers in the backyard and had dinner and beers on the back deck. According to the weather dudes, we hit a record high of 90 degrees. Little warm for me, but after a terrible cold and rainy spring, I'm not complaining.
But now I'm watching the Giro stage 4 from the DVR and it's freaking depressing b/c of what happened yesterday. (Didn't even watch yesterday's stage.) Sigh.

Not today, but just a few days ago. I gave barbequing a whole turkey a shot. It turned out so much better than I was expecting! I crammed it full of butter, lemon, shallot, rosemary, and thyme and slow cooked it with apple wood chips for some smoke flavor.

woke up, made a cup of coffee for me and my significant other, drank it, rode to her house, stayed there for a bit while she complained about finals and her living situation, told her to keep trying and striving, went home to a package(Yoshi's Story for N64) went to the LBS and Bullsh*tted with Ben the mechanic for a bit while we dished my wheels a bit straighter, went home, had a veggie enchilada TV dinner, showered, was enlightened by the idea of using a trimmer to shave my legs in stead of going straight to razor, tried to shave my legs(badly, with the mechanical part)...it still sucked and took forever with the electric trimmer, now I'm leaving to the other's house, than bike polo and Tacoday tomorrow (Hopefully FINALLY getting the other Rando for my wheel-build from my friend Ryan)!

Today I started working at the frame shop for the first time this year... replaced some cable guides, replaced some brake bosses, and took apart the front end of my Proctor Townsend so that I can re-braze it after we sandblast the lugs in the morning. Seems that the initial build was lacking in the silver department and it will be a gorgeous bike once it is whole again.
Tonight I am sleeping in the country... I can hear the frogs chirping away and that is about all the noise there is.

last night i rode HARD. like, real hard. we also had a bunch of falls and injuries. one of my friends got a concussion, the other chipped a tooth. i think we're going to have to have a safety meeting.

I concur.
Today I went to class, ran into a sqrl I have a massive crush on. And its not often I have a crush. chatted with her and her friend a bit, brought a 17 year old class mate into the mix and hilarity ensued. went to a ride, realized i'm getting sick and left early.
