5 pieces of code to go.

Jaytron 12-11-11 02:31 AM

Today I went up to hang out in SF with Jandro. Went to a nice salon for a haircut for the first time in my life, I like how it turned out.

My plan to turn you into a full-blown hipster, one visit at a time, is totally working.

Also, don't forget, we played hella Magic. :D

Today I woke up hungover, because last night I went to a party with Misskaz and her husband and had at least six shots of absinthe, each one of which was chased by Red Bull and absinthe. I also remember walking around with my very own bottle of white wine. Oh, and it was an iCarly themed party.

Finals... :notamused:

Poop.

You and me both, yummy.

Ended up going to a Terrible Buttons concert instead of studying for business law and core 250. Frickin sweet music if you like bluesy folk rock.

My finals are already done, leaving me a whole month with nothing to do. And Epic, that's some good stuff, that Terrible Buttons. Dig it.

EpicSchwinn 12-11-11 11:40 AM

Free EP on their site if you're interested http://terriblebuttons.com/album/brute-neighbors-2010

Street rider 12-11-11 12:03 PM

Awesome, thanks man.

striknein 12-11-11 12:29 PM

Got all but 2 pieces of code knocked out, and got my programming and English Comp final done. Gonna clean the house today, because it DESPERATELY needs it.

Nice mug.

A buddy of mine and I both used to play magic in grade school. Here and there, we'll bust out some decks and "nerd it out" as we like to call it while smoking copious amounts of mj. It really is a lot of fun, regardless of what anybody says.

I love the reactions I got last night from riding my bike to a little get together. One girl was very serious, and kept saying how awesome that was.

Yeah I still have my cards, I used to play around 7th Edition, and quit a few years after. I only attended a few "Friday Night Magic" and booster draft events though. Not so competitive. I tried to come back and get into the game competitively (would watch pro tours on youtube) but couldn't get anyone to really play with me. I have a lot of cards, but don't really have a lot of good ones lol. Enough to make a few decks to mess around with though haha.

I think last year, Jandro and I dug up our old cards from about a decade ago. We bought a bunch of new stuff and tried our hands at some tournaments. Then we decided that the hobby is way expensive for a bunch of cardboard. Soooo, we just play casually with friends now.

:C It's fun to go back man.

I'm with GMJ. It's a fun time to nerd out over some beers here and there.

I don't think I'll ever give up games. I very much might as well be one of these guys:

SERIOUSLY. Most people just buy singles online to build a competitive deck. Sometimes I get sad but always retreat back to some Starcraft II/Street FIghter 4 or the RG site. :P

Lazy day... I haven't gotten out of my robe yet, and I probably won't until I go out later.

trevor_ash 12-11-11 02:40 PM

Practically my whole IT department plays Magic The Gathering. I've watched them play a few games while eating lunch. I can see why it would be fun.
