Today I decided that aside from things like tires, tubes and bar tape, I'm going to try my hardest to use only vintage parts when building up my Windsor. This may take a while...

Sounds good; vintage deadstock tires, tubes, bar tape aren't impossible to find/ afford... ;)

any graf writers here...?

i used to think i was, then i realized all i had done with my "career" was see how high up i could get stickers on weird places or moving objects

paint was too expensive, i spent all my money on pot and it was basically un-stealable from the stores around here

so i stopped.

Today I loosed the stuck stem on the Diamondback Interval then repacked HS bearings.

Moments later a Shimano 600 HS falls into my lap. What to do??? Repack again tomorrow? Put the 600 on the fixed Free Spirit ?

SS_Giant 09-12-12 08:50 PM

Today I was looking at some of my favorite places back in Philly on Google street view. Now I'm homesick.

LesterOfPuppets 09-12-12 09:09 PM

That reminds me, I got some face time on NavTeq's streetview rig if it was capturing. Dunno where to look at NavTeq stuff, is that cars only?

You too? Protip: books on tape and riding/wrenching. I get too easily distracted to read on my ipad or in the same room as the interwebs.

I wish. I like to annotate too much, so audiobooks wouldn't work for me.

it's kind of crazy how easy you can make something look if you're insanely good at it.

I ****ing hate dealing with them.

Today I found out that, other than the lead mechanic and the management staff, I'm the only person that the GM is keeping around over the winter. Awesome.

Today I'm back in the bay area and I saw a LOW for the first time in person while in Oakland; raw aluminium with red decals and ellipses. Only catch, it was being ridden on the sidewalk....

Nagrom_ 09-13-12 12:50 AM

How long you here for?

Also, good call on the Topeak valve extenders.

calv 09-13-12 01:26 AM

Lady got beaten and robbed in broad daylight in front of her own house by two pathetic guys with a gun. Happened right around my neighborhood in Oakland.

Got me thinking: What would you guys do if you were held up at gun point?

T-minus 3 days. I have a bunch of loose ends to tie around here through. Hopefully I'll be on saddle to see what changes have occurred in the area since I moved for work.

Now why would I recommend something that is bad to you guys? :)
