I don't understand the rationale behind anatomic bends. Not that I'm against them, I just have never heard why they're bent like that. It definitely looks uncomfortable.

me either really, but I wanted another pair of semi compact drops but didn't exactly just want the same thing all over again. these are on sale at ebay for $40 shipped

Today, I added up the [expected] cost of a new 722 frame/fork/headset + shipping(based on the coghouse prices), and came to the realization that I could have gotten a Kagero for the $599+free shipping deal for less money. :|

Today I am no longer a teenager!!
Today my girlfriend woke me up with apple pie and a triple tall extra hot non fat latte (my favorite drink!)! Damn. I don't think it gets better than this... <3
I also got a park tools chainwhip and lockring spanner and a new v-neck from my parents
Can you get much more BFSSFG than lockring spanners and v-necks
I'm hoping my new drops come in today! Probably not though since I'm pretty sure MLK is a shipping holiday.

so...... my gf's dad is considering getting a Cervelo S2...... im going to try to convince him to do so..... Cervelo's "Share the Ride" deal ends Jan 31... basically buy two bikes, get 2,000 dollars off. Which means, he gets an S2 for ~2.5k, and i get a free T1..... we'll see how this works.

EDIT: Also, it's funny. During todays ride, riding back into the city with that gnarly freezing headwind I was the most miserable person in the world and never wanted to ride a bike ever again.
Fast forward 2 hours and a long hot shower later and I'm in an awesome mood.

Today I purchased a domain for the website of the fixed gear bike club/gang my friends and I are forming. I'll link to it soon, but I'm waiting on a friend to clean up the logos in photoshop and once I drop them in I'll be ready to post the site. I'm so excited; we're gonna host bar nights and rides and events and it's gonna be super fun and hopefully as a side benefit get more women feeling comfortable and confident on bikes.
I'm also trying to figure out a name for my fundraising team for St. Baldrick's Foundation (they raise money to fund research to end childhood cancers). I and three friends are going to be shaving our heads for this charity in two months and we need a good team name so we can start promoting it and organizing fundraisers.
Luckily this is all stuff I can do from my couch, since I am feeling supremely lazy today.

Her bike gang is rad. I love it, even though I can't join.
Today I worked. Final health inspection on the restaurant is tomorrow, and I feel that there's no way in hell we will pass. If we don't, I don't know what the future holds. Kind of freaking out.

I have bars w anatomic bends and it's actually comfortable, don't care much for the way it looks though.

I know. We've had this discussion. I'm just giving you ****. If I'm off work/have enough advance notice I'll work a checkpoint for the *****cat. If normal alleycats have cute girls, why shouldn't a *****cat have cute dudes?

My ride to work this morning was great.Few cars on the road due to MLK day and picked my layers just right for the 9deg ride to be neither cold nor overheat...good start for the week.
