Yesterday actually.....but I picked up an all original '73 Schwinn Town n Country trike for the wife. Have started buffing out the paint and polishing the chrome. Will be changing all rusty hardware out for stainless and getting the drive train all cleaned up and lubed. New tires, tubes and a seat are getting picked up Saturday so it should be road worthy come Sunday.

Bikes: bieks

Today I'm trying to decide if I want to spend basically all of one week in December at the Metro seeing shows. I can't really afford it, but:

December 12 The Faint play Danse Macabre
December 13 Japandroids (already have tickets)
December 16 Braid play Frame and Canvas

Today I distributed the newspaper in the rain. Finally got back to the office to read it, turns out one of my articles magically got cut in half (not edited, I mean they ****ing omitted part of my article and stopped halfway through a sentence without punctuation. dafuq?) and one of my photos was credited to someone else.

Remind me why I spend so much time working for so little money here?

Anybody?

Just found this fun fact out a few days ago. Sticking with wheelsmith as I always have before from now on.

Oh I really want to! I'm just super broke right now (PS anyone know anyone looking for a place to live in Chicago? I need a roommate!) and I'm not sure I can afford the $22 ticket plus, let's be honest, the beers I'll have when I'm there.

i hate the look of fenders, but they've made my rain rides awesome. especially going from clip-on to full coverage.

Nice Bug, too. Late-60's with early parts, or early-model with IRS conversion?

did the driver stick around for you to get his info or did he "not know" and kept on going?

He stuck around, checked to see if I was ok then gave me his info and I rode away as best as I could on my ****ed bike. Though after getting hit by a car i'm kind of in shock and didn't call the police to file a report. I hope I don't get screwed because of this.

i dont have any experience with bike accidents, but as long as hes cooperative and follows through you should be alright.
i got rear ended by a guy on an offramp of a highway (in my car) and the guy knew he ****ed up, he gave me all his info up front and our respective insurance companies took care of everything.
got a good estimator and he basically totaled out my car so i got almost 2 grand in my pocket, just zip tied my bumper back on, no big deal

did you get his lic plate?
you don't know if the info you gave is accurate and you really should have called the police. Right now, if he gave bunk info, it's 'he-said-she-said'.

hopefully he's a good apple and does the right thing.

I've been hit so I've been through all that b.s. Police report is important as a matter of record, not so much in determining fault in this type of thing- at least in CALIF.
