Anyhow today I found out first hand how ****ty a front HED 3 is on a commuter. I've been running it since my open pro let me down. POS nearly wrecked me multiple times throughout the day, darn crosswinds that catch you by surprise. I had a constant feeling that if I were to let go of the bars and have a strong crosswind come around, my entire cockpit would've made a swift 90* and send me into oblivion.

Not to mention how worrisome it is to have to lock it up.

Yup, it usually doesn't but today's weather was abnormal by the standards here. Nonetheless my bike stays in my office except for getting here & back & grabbing food/ running errands.

I was just talking to some kid outside at the smoke pit. He asked me what ship I was stationed to, so I was like lolwhat'saship?

He basically said he was jealous I had shore duty because he is stuck on subs, is leaving sometime soon and has to live in Guam for three years.

Ahh, the easy life.

Today I did what you're supposed to do and filled my tires before heading out... and must have tugged on the valve stem too hard because I flatted my back tire. Dammit! Luckily I had enough time to change it.

One time I was 15 miles away from school and I ripped out the little presta tip with my mini pump.

Thankfully both my riding buddies were carrying spare tubes.

No **** man. They're ****ing awesome. I poach those little bastards in butter and then saute them with bacon and it's heavenly. Or pickle them. Man, that **** rocks too.

Also, I'm surprised Kaz didn't post about the Brussels. I think she may be the only person I know that likes those things more than I do.
