Mogo's is always a hit or miss for me, some days definitely taste better than others.

Did my team ride on a fixie today. Got dropped toward the end when they picked it up to 26 in the flat (I'm running 48/17), but had fun and did a **** ton of work in the wind. A group of fixed gear enthusiasts tried to hop on our ride when we rolled back into town, but we were on the way to the coffee shop. I'm glad that I was there to attract that sort of crowd.

Dude, there are literally some days where it's awesome and amazing, and some days where it tastes funky and ends up wrecking my stomach. Maybe it depends on which truck you find.

I can understand it, there's a taco truck that was amazing the first time, that only disappointed me the next three times. never again,

I get this.

Nagrom_ 02-19-12 06:42 PM

Today I finally bought a new pocket knife after losing the other one biking. Fell out of my pocket while riding.

Also, was perusing wally world for a new razor, sick of mine, and stumbled into the bike section. Seen the Mongoose SS there, and to tell you the truth... if it wasnt covered in ****ty components, and didn't have the most grotesque welds i have ever seen, and didn't say mongoose on it, and didnt have white tires, and didnt have a gooch killing saddle, and didnt have a random ass black threaded stem, and didnt have straight bars, and wasnt sold at walmart, I'd ride it. The frame actually looked nice... lol

Also, seen a genesis road bike there for 450 dollars. a walmart bike.... 450 dollars? really? I would hate to be the one to buy one and realize what i could have gotten...

Today was another build session at the pumptrack, followed by a quick 10 mile ride.

Today I:

Stayed in to finish a wheel build, and put in some quality time on the rollers as the forecast 0-2" snowfall turned into 8-10"++. That's a big change from the 60F and sunny we had yesterday. Planned road ride for tomorrow may be called off :(.

RGNY 02-19-12 08:18 PM

roller ride on the 725 while listening to the audiobook of Dante's "Inferno" [abridged]. then a quick 100 pushups.

following that, the wife made roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. in the absence of Guinness, we had to "settle" for the St. Bernardus Abt 12 i had hidden in the cellar behind my extra wheelset and toolbox. :)

Fixed, lots of breaks and pretty slow, they're pretty casual riders (20mi of my 50 was to meet up with them/ride home)

Longest I've done on a roadie was like 72mi? Been a while.
