I hit a squirrel once. Riding with friend, jumped under my rear wheel. My friend had to go back and kill it

Today I'm really starting to kick mono's ass. Already weened myself off the tylenol-codeines. I still don't want to look at my dead bike laying in the garage. The more I think about it I'm starting to think I'd be best off in the long run to part it and buy a practical but good road bike (thinking 90's aluminum cannondales with ultegra or 105). I'll hopefully be spending fall semester in Costa Rica so I don't think I'll try to buy anything over the summer unless I see a screaming deal on one.

Yeah, yours is pretty sick! I asked about them in C&V and they seem to have a great reputation. Along with that comes a price that hasn't deflated that much though. They still seem to fetch about tree fiddy for the 105 equipped ones in a lot of places.

I got stranded on my way to pick up my new MW Vandal. A friend ordered it with employee discount, and on my way to her house I caught a nail in my back tire. No patches, so I threw a tube in and promptly snapped off the valve. In the time it took to get a new tube from a passing cyclist, she fell asleep. No bag yet. Lame. Was the first time I've ever gotten stranded too.

I've killed a couple (actually rubber around base of valve stem) with frame pumps, by not properly bracing pump against spokes, rim, whatever. Now I usually carry a pump with a hose, so haven't killed tube at valve in a LONG time. knock on wood.

Hand pump on a looooooong stem. I had to get a deep stem becuase it was all they had, and I refuse to ride without a tube and/or patches. It just wobbled too much and as I got up to around 80psi it separated from the tube.

I just ate dinner. It's 4 in the morning, and my dinner was a 750 of Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, a neat pour of Macallan 12-year, a couple handfuls of chili-cheese Fritos, and a couple Camel lights. I am healthiest of all they cyclists.

So pissed, got the email that it was cancelled last night cause it said 100% chance... I confirmed it last night as well. Then this morning, it is dry as hell. I hate my life.

I'm going to repeat the fact that I believe the squirrel is too stupid to realize what is going on, probably.

I've never snapped one before, but I have accidentally ripped the valve from the tube at least twice.

My local Velodrome is 18 miles away but I still ain't been out there. This summer I swear. Although they're supposed to be resurfacing it so I gotta check construction schedules.
