Today I got into another argument with the secretary of our coop. I've been really sick lately, so my mind isn't even remotely rational when it comes to verbal/textual delivery. I feel like crap. I just meant to give pointers on cycle photography for our bikes for sale.

I want to ride my newish Trek 1400 I fixed a few weeks ago. It's a lovely bike but my connective tissues and back are getting worse and worse these days (Note: I'm only 23) making even <5 mile rides incredibly uncomfortable, especially with a bad mitral valve (heart). Add my current illness and I probably wouldn't be able to stay on the saddle for more than a couple minutes.
And this is ignoring my FG hanging in the basement. I miss that thing, too.

Um... I'm pretty damn sure I saw you on crutches.

Glasses, dark blue cast cover leg brace thing?

I wanted to stop and be like "hey nagrom, I remember your face from facebook," but I didn't, for fear of weirding someone out.

We were doing a group ride through the east bay dirt paths.

Just wait, one will pop up on either craigslist or eBay and you will get a steal!

I've had 2 complete sets w/ carbon BB in exactly how I wanted, 165mm, 49T, shop worn/ slightly used, within grasp and I was the 2nd highest bidder for both. I'm about sick & tired of waiting.... they're never going to be cheap new or used with people willing to pay so much and it really doesn't help when you have the funds and you can't stop thinking about it. It's eating away at my soul, I will never be at peace until I have them. I want them but don't need them.

I don't like how this is going to end up. =/

I'll admit it's a problem of mine. Not proud.

I understand. I would probably be the same way if I ever actually had money. I just sell my possessions so I can immediately buy other stuff I've been lusting over. I never(ever) have the patience to just wait until the right deal comes along. I need everything I want and I need it as soon as possible.

The cast was black. Wasn't me. Just kidding haha.

But yeah, we made eye contact. Exact same reason for me not saying anything, haha.

Today I left campus for the summer. Packed up all my crap and bikes and got ready to move westward for my internship.

Seattle, I will be in you by Tuesday.

This probably doesnt matter now but did you ever try a Giro Atmos? I have a slightly larger head than normal and usually have problems finding headgear that fits. The atmos fit me perfectly.

You ever watch sleepless in seattle? It's kinda like that man. Online communication, real life sightings... no talk...

Too beautiful for words.

My favourite helmet is my Alpina... weighs nothing and is a wonderful fit.

jimmytango 05-11-12 04:43 PM

My favorite helmet is my hair...

Today's payday! Hell yeah.

I love payday or for me, pension day as I get paid whether I am sitting here goofing off or doing work in my shop, which is still limited to part time because of health issues.

Usually like to take myself out for dinner and I am a cheap date... usually go for Pho and sometimes a good steak although we are now BBQ'ing at home because the weather is so nice.

For sure, hopefully this clavicle isn't actually broken (doesn't feel like it).

When are you back on the bike? When are we bromancing at the track again? I might go on Saturday even though I can't ride to just hang out.

Entrymax 05-11-12 05:21 PM

Today I got tackled from the side and tore the rotator cuff on my shoulder. I still plan on doing my 14mi commute on my bike with one arm.

My follow up appt. is on the 25th. If I'm good, then I'm good. Otherwise, I'll get new casts in two week cycles until the x-rays come out positive.

Every time I have to commute in the rain, it takes me longer to get out the door because I'm dreading it so much. Then, after about 1/2 mile, I'm as soaked as could be, so additional rain doesn't bother me, and I realize: "wow, I'm on my bike, this is awesome"
