What are you planning on next?

To be honest, if not another Kagero in Small, probably an Argon 18 Electron.

I'm officially a sophomore. wuuuuuuuut. 84.5 units to go.

jimmytango 06-02-12 02:40 AM

I literally just heard someone yell, "hey, come back here so I can take yo bike." What the ****?

Also, I got a letter from my landlord. Boils down to them saying that I can't shower after I get home from work (usually between one and two AM) because the noise from their ****ty plumbing is disturbing the neighbors that are the reason I had bedbugs. I can't ****ing wait to move.

Sixty Fiver 06-02-12 02:47 AM

Just came back from a midnight ride to kick off our annual bike month... was just me and a friend and without anyone to restrain us we went on a little hammerfest through the river valley and then climbed out on one of the least friendly roads possible (10-12% grade) and then chilled and talked bikes over cold beers in my shop.

Yeah, my upstairs neighbor pounds on his floor every time I shower if it's not daylight hours. The letter said they received complaints about "loud machine noises" in the middle of the night.

It was.

FakeFuji 06-02-12 11:45 AM

If they want machine noises, buy a bandsaw and cut some sheet metal after work

Lame! A gym membership can help ya get by until you get into a more reasonable apartment.

jimmytango 06-02-12 11:55 AM

**** that. I pay rent. I'm going to shower in my ****ing apartment whenever I ****ing feel like it.

calv 06-02-12 01:33 PM

Today I actually emailed Leader about seeing if I can just exchange for a smaller Kagero. Since it's almost like-new and not beat up at all. Hopefully they understand fitment problems and let me pay shipping to do it.

Scrodzilla 06-02-12 01:35 PM

Calv - they're out of small.

I know, right?

Do you have any Small? Maybe I can just pay the difference for what I get from trying to sell this Kagero.

Scrodzilla 06-02-12 01:49 PM

None. Patrick has a few left though.

I would totally respond with a letter proposing the landlord pay for gym if I was you. Find one with hot tub. Hit weights, soak, shower then head home would rule, IMO.

mkeHENRY 06-02-12 02:04 PM

Today I realized how much of an idiot I am!

My SKS Renkompressor's pump head stopped working yesterday and so I email SKS about it, quickly receive a response and a new pump head was immediately shipped to me (received today instead of a week or so like I expected).

Anyways, It turns out the grommet from the pump head simply fell on the ground when I was messing with it before pumping up a tire. I run outside and find it on the ground. How embarrassing. :roflmao2:

I just wanted to put SKS's great customer service out there! Receiving the head in 1 day? Come on, that's awesome! (p.s. the Renkompressor works great!)

Santaria 06-02-12 02:13 PM

Returned to work after two weeks vacation time.

Longest ride I got in was an 82 mile ride through the hill country. My HTC Evo ran Strada for the first part of the route and already had the phone under 17 percent by the time I noticed, so I don't have strava for the entire run.

I have this which should give a good indication of the up and down ride connected with the ride.

At one point, I know I broke 45 MPH on a longish 1500 foot drop. I have never spun so fast in my life, it was funny as ****.

My father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer (biopsy from his throat) during the break away from work, so it wasn't all fun.

Unfortunately, I also put on about 8 lbs. from drinking beer nightly.

Fortunately, I was able to enjoy drinking beer nightly.

Now back to working my ass off so I can stay at 180 and drink beer occasionally without the same drawbacks.

Thanks, I emailed him to see if we can work something out.

EDIT: I'm not sure about proper business etiquette, so what do you think most retailers do if I asked for an exchange or something like that?

Scrodzilla 06-02-12 03:57 PM

If it were me, I'd give you a partial refund just because we wouldn't be able to resell it for full retail.

I don't think you'll have any trouble selling it though. I got $640 for mine (including shipping) and mine had a big chip on the seat tube.

Did you sell it on ebay? I'm going to put mines up today, don't know how much I should charge for shipping though.

Scrodzilla 06-02-12 04:55 PM

I did. I charged 40 bucks for shipping via USPS.

Muffin Man 06-02-12 04:59 PM

I still have the box for my 722 if you need it.

DO NEED. I can't leave Davis now though since I'm in the middle of finals. I might just ask my lbs for a spare box if I can't make it out there.

Muffin Man 06-02-12 05:06 PM

Is davis on the semester schedule, or the quarter schedule?
