Spent a little time dialing in the fit on my Leader, and started rehabbing my road bike. Switched out old cro-mo drops for ergo aluminum bars and cut the weight of a small dog off the front end. Gonna hit up the lbs tomorrow for some new brake levers, and hopefully a seatpost and stem.

Today I was able to be with my grandmother when she passed away. The scientist in me found it intriguing, while the other part of me is pretty disturbed. Overall I'm glad I was there though.

Today I built a set of wheels (for my bike), threw some stuff into the mail, closed up shop and went out riding for the rest of the day. Feels good man.

Picked up and 8 gb flash drive for $8 at office max. Sweet deal.

Best conversation from today, talking about a friends bike

"Yeah, I put the brake back on."
"What about all your sweet skids?!??!?" I exclaimed
"...I realized I could die."
"That's an important realization to come to."

Harsh! But I did see you knocking Jay's poetry, which I'm sure hurt him deep down inside.

Today, I picked up my Ergonova's, hoods, and tape, and installed/wrapped them. Rode around the block a couple times but it was too windy to go on a legit ride.

It's fun how a lot of people are slowly moving to clipless/hoods and levers. They always get congratulated, to.

I guess I just wish I could be in the super awesome club ;_;

You can't break the rules of limerick. Because then its not a limerick.
Did you like that Haiku I just wrote?

Thanks, btw. 4-6 weeks. I'm gonna get yoked in the arms though. It's like I have to do pull ups to walk.

Also, pro tip for everyone. Skinny jeans are hard to get off. Skinny jeans are harder to get off beefy biker legs. Skinny jeans are IMPOSSIBLE to get off over a cast on beefy biker legs. Learn from my mistake, and my sacrificed pair of Levi's. I had to cut my ****ing pants off.

Moral of the story: wear sweatpants/shorts to the hospital if you think you're getting a leg/foot cast.

For next time, the trick to removing skinny jeans is to pull downward from the cuffs/ pant leg at the bottom.
Trust me, I wear 510's.

511's here. They had me roll the pant leg up above my knee for the casting (which is hard enough btw). It was impossible to get the pant leg over the cast.

It wasn't happening, haha.

Today I got 4th on a local Strava climb. I can totally smell the podium from here!

I was rollin' the Free Spirit, too. Get the Pinarello out and I should be good for KOM.

Would you rock a bikesdirect jersey or bib?
