I found out the river path ends right by my apartment, it continues on for maybe 10+ miles to the beach. This is good for leisurely riding with my girlfriend or on my own, but it is too congested to use right now -_-

today im feeling apprehensive about being on the team that i'm on
.
ive never been a sponsored rider on a team b4, only member of local racing oriented clubz. we are super privileged (free kits/helmets/bike to ride and unlimited Spy shades) and im feeling the pressure to get results and be on every team ride, ect. The pressure/commitment to ride and perform is getting to me.

I've got so much going on in life (work/relationship issues/stuff) that I'm not performing like I should be. A couple of my teammates (theres only 7 of us cat3s) already have earned their cat2 upgrade point but are staying around to help us, so the pressure's on me. I know from training/group rides that these guys are hardly (if at all) stronger than me, I just don't have the balls of steel or nerves that I did last year during those last few laps.

going to reg. for barrio logan and dana point atm which spurred all these sentimentz. both (esp. barrio) should be good races for me/races that i can win, and they will be if I can get my head in the game.

the extra color sends it to another level

Oh I see... But still I'm a still a bit iffy on low's, he seemingly popped out of nowhere and just gained popularity by giving free handouts to popular riders....

"Current lead time: about 8 months. - This is only a rough estimate. Wait times are not guaranteed! * Required"

I would've forgotten about an order by then!

Nonetheless if I were to get a custom FG, I would get it on the opposite side of the bay; a broakland pipebomb.

since you're actually in SF, what made you go MASH over LOW, or did you really not intend on buying that until you walked in?
LOWs have an 8-month wait that is not even guaranteed. I'm not that patient. Also, I didn't really expect to walk out of the store with a new frame (I was planning to wait another month or so), but Mike hooked it up. I was looking into either a LOW or a Bolt and I think, for what I do, the Bolt is the better choice. I do a lot of long-distance rides with tons of climbing on my fixed gear, so something with track-specific geo (pursuit) is not really the best option. Something with mild pursuit/compact road geo is much better as far as a comfort level over 60+ miles and 4kft+ of climbing in the saddle.

LOWs are mighty pretty, though.

I don't think I would really even want a frame after 8 months of waiting. Bike purchases are always impulsive for me.

You can order LOWs without pursuit geometry. Freewheel on Hayes also has a handful of LOWs framesets for sale as well. The Bolt is definitely hot though, IMO the best colorway for the MASH. Hope I'll see you (and your new bike) at the race today

Today I'm about to head out and do some bike shopping with a friend. He wants to lose some weight, and I talking him into cycling.

He's almost as excited as I am.

$1000 dollar budget, just to see if he likes it. $3000 dollar budget after he decides he does.

I wonder if it's an 'under promise - over deliver' sort of thing. Could they really have that many orders in the queue? if so, almost makes them less desirable

On a fixed gear? Please let it be a roadie... you know what, he will like cycling, $4000 build off the bat.

Today I went to the co-op early to buy my Brooks. I expected it to arrive in a couple of weeks, not days. Later I will trying to get my brother a Centurion Ironman with Suntour GPX

Sixty, I love all of your bikes. They are so classically tasteful.

Also, I disagree; chrome bikes definitely go faster than red ones.

My chrome bike is pretty fast but won't touch the Proctor... which may be almost as fast as my silver bike once I get things dialled in.

Orange bikes still go the fastest.
