Strangely enough, this bike was listed for sale here for over a month and no-one snapped it up and the price was one that I could not walk away from and am happy I pulled trigger on a bike I have wanted for a very long time but I was not prepared to spend +2k on a new one. Depending on how they are kitted out the price could approach 3k.

Adjusting disc brakes is easier than adjusting V brakes, once you know how to do it.

Today I:

Woke up early so I worked on my Trek 520 re-build, got this far

Now waiting on brake levers, maybe next weekend.

Rode over Warm Springs Mountain to the falls and back, then changed bikes and cruised around for a while (I'm claiming it was just to break the "roller glaze" on the tires )

Laced both wheels for my 930 build, will tension and true later as I am done for today.

The sad thing is, this is a city park with a swimming pool just up the hill from where the photo was taken. The pool area appeared to be full to capacity, but nobody but me was down by the river.

That absolutely sucks, and is one of the reasons why I have always shipped my bike instead of flying with it.

I hope you can get it back with no problems.

This may sound crazy, put a wrench on it, then tap it a couple times with a hammer, then go on with it like you are supposed to. If that doesn't work break out the liquid wrench...

Yesterday I, helped build Jandro's desktop. Been playing Diablo 3 ever since. Also got my 8 year old desktop running. It actually can play the game... barely.

Today I was going to go for a ride, but played Diablo 3 instead. :|

Today I:

DNF'd at the NCC Gravel Metric. The temperatures spiked to 105-110F over the pavement today, and I didn't manage my calories/hydration/electrolytes properly. So I ran out of juice about halfway through and started puking at the 49-mile mark (actually 57 miles for me, since I missed a turn and racked up some bonus miles.) At least I got a couple decent pictures:

Assembling before the start. There were a couple of single-speeders and maybe one other FG bike.

My bike, waiting to ride E Gurler "road".

Similar, at Elva Road:
