The front fork and rear triangle are built with an offset to handle those massive boots... the front wheel and back wheel are both 135 mm rear SS hubs and the front will take a second freewheel for a backup or an alternate gearing. The bike is set up as a 3 by 1 now and could be SS, fixed, derailleur geared, or set up with an IGH.

May a Pug has two cassette hubs installed or has a cassette on one wheel and an SS on the other.

Am going to pull the trigger on a White Industries ENO as I have never had much love for those ACS freewheels... also found my stack of 22 and 24 tooth chain rings so am going to lower the bottom gear... had a little bit of trouble riding through the playground sand tonight as the low just isn't quite low enough for that.

I raced at the new Giordana Velodrome in Rock Hill, SC last night. That place is a world class facility. I drove 4 hours each way to do it. It was worth it. You guys in the NC, SC, and North GA area should really check it out.

Yesterday we ran our Tiny Fix Ace Race and it went so well! We had a huge mix of people, from first timer chicks on hybrid bikes to alleycat vets from out of town. 26 riders total, which we're told rivals the biggest and most well known Chicago alleycats. We had a huge prize table:

And here's a rider pleased with his Retrogression tshirt (thanks, Scrod!)

Then today I got up at the crack of dawn to do Bike the Drive, where they close off Lake Shore Drive for a few hours so we can ride on it. 35 miles before 9am, woo!

Glad the race had a good turnout. Prizes look rad. I always forget about BTD until I hear people talking about it the day before. There's always next year. God, I sound like a Cubs fan...

Today I watched the Monaco Grand Prix. Great, as always. Sad to see Grosjean go out before the first corner though, I'm a fan of Lotus and they're doing great this season.

Also Vettel disappointed me, but Webber made up for it. Go RedBull/Lotus!

There will be more of them... can't remember having this much fun on a bike in a long time.

My ability to off road got knocked back a great deal when I fragged my back and have been riding slower and rocking the biggest fattest tyres I could fit on my mountain bikes and have them geared as low as is physically possible.

There was no way I could have taken my hard tail where I went today and the Pug made it easier than I imagined... it is like the honey badger of bikes and the rollout you get on those 4.0's at 20 psi is nothing short of amazing.

Today I recycled a pair of old handle bars and a stem into a hanging bike rack.

Oh, I didn't read the description of the Paramount you were buying very carefully; I just saw a mention of "60cm+ Chrome Paramount" and "lots of money because pristine condition" and assumed it was the ones that cudak is selling.

That is very ingenious. Are you going to wrap the bars? Very cool.

Today I taught myself how to adjust disc brakes. Also kicked myself for not teaching myself how to earlier. That **** seems pretty easy.

Heading downtown in an hour to hang with sqrl and frandz, get some sushi for dinner and maybe drink some wine on a roof. First day of work tomorrow morning.
