Today some punk decided to challenge me to a best of 3 in a pumptrack pursuit, which I schooled him in the first 2. Later did some Pumptrack TT stuff(3 laps) and managed to set a personal best for time of 29.8 seconds, previous was 30.4 seconds.

FakeFuji 06-27-12 08:07 PM

Dan I think you should get a gopro camera, i feel like you could make a cool video

Dannihilator 06-27-12 08:12 PM

Have one planned for in the near future.

RGNY 06-27-12 08:16 PM

worked on the Ridley Crossbow singlespeed CX build.

BB/cranks installed. running a 44t ring (16t in back) on the inside of a double w/ a Salsa Crossing Guard on the outside. was overly optimistic. only about 1-2mm clearance on the stays. probably have to swap it......won't know until that first ride.......but i've got a 39t for back up (or in case i can't pull the hills on my usual trails)......

hairnet 06-27-12 09:24 PM

The small ring in the photos I posted just barely clears the chainstay. no issues while riding and climbing

fixed.

jimmytango 06-27-12 10:07 PM

Kaz and some friends and I had talked about getting GoPros and making sick edits months ago. Not sure what happened to that idea...

Today I managed to get out of work early, so I only worked fourteen hours instead of the sixteen I was scheduled. Yay!

Sixty Fiver 06-27-12 10:09 PM

Went on a 24km ride on my folder... down into the valley, around the park, and then up and out and home.

Was a great ride... caught some roadies in the park and stunned them when I pulled up alongside to say `good day`and inspired them to pick up their pace and leave me behind which was good as we were rolling along at nearly 25mph when they punched it and took off.

:)

Nah, 2001.5 with S4 wheels. Love her though.

GENESTARWIND 06-27-12 11:01 PM

today i had one of the worst rides so far, my 8 mile commute home was ****ing ruined. ****ty 10 to 15mph headwinds and a ****ing dust storm while almost being a 100 out :| all after 12 hours in a kitchen.

OH I HATE THEE ARIZONA

jimmytango 06-27-12 11:35 PM

Sucks man. I almost moved to Phoenix a couple years ago. Glad I didn't.

GENESTARWIND 06-28-12 12:30 AM

im thinking about moving back to vegas where i was before, getting a transfer from rock bottom to gordon biersch and trying to work my way into a real kitchen and learn how to do **** the right way, things from scratch and all that jazz.

GENESTARWIND 06-28-12 12:45 AM

time to get drunk

get a big block mang, seriously my favorite bike i've ever owned. It'll fit big(ish) tires and the geometry is what I would call perfect for a track frame.

was thinking of grabbing the complete to save money but was pretty :| on the components it comes with so now may just grab a frameset. wish they had kept those old colorways around

edit: with vip15 on UC I can get a complete shipped to me for $760, that's hard to pass up.

This post has everything the world needs.

Today I wake up early to build a bike. UPS dropped off my torque wrenches last night at 11. F*ck you UPS.

hamfoh 06-28-12 08:52 AM

I ordered the same set you did. I spent my first hour with it properly torquing everything I could find

Mumonkan 06-28-12 09:51 AM

Today on my ride to work i saw what must have been a HS kid get caught cutting school by his mom, the mom runs a light and makes an illegal uturn to yell at the kid while blocking 2 lanes of traffic. The kid then threw the bike he was riding ten feet into a light pole and runs off

I also shaved 3 mins off my commute, these 6 pound wheels build strong legs :)

jimmytango 06-28-12 09:59 AM

Today I am enduring my last day of work before vacation. Turns out I will get off at three, so it's only a six-hour day. That's half of what I normally work. Amazing. Any Chicagoans doing CM tomorrow night? I may just go for once

They're nice for the money. I was impressed.

Today, the bike gods are not with me. Can't find my crank puller, and I can't get my headset to square off. So, I'm headed to a bike shop to get a headset installed, and my cranks removed.

meeeeh. so, i pretty much spend 30 mins taking apart the bike, and have it down to frame, cranks, and BB. where the **** did I put it? its annoying... I've spend the rest of the morning polishing. Oh, mounted the GP4000S's. Most compliant conti' folder ever. Did it without a lever.

now I gotta wait till 11:30 for the shop to open.

solipsist716 06-28-12 11:42 AM

Today I'm gonna blow my ****ing top. ******** customers out the wazoo.

calbob76 06-28-12 02:24 PM

with that deal I'd just go for it! all city cranks are nice, the dimension seatpost and stem are decent, the all city saddle is pretty comfy, and i'm sure the wheels will be at least alright!

Nagrom_ 06-28-12 02:42 PM

The Kilo is done. It now weighs 16.49lbs, still with the original boat anchors.

Just shed almost 4 lbs.
