I literally cannot find any similarities between those two watches other than the day/date things being the same font.

You can see clearly on the back that Seiko makes it though.

Mumonkan 09-25-12 11:52 AM

Haha i think the bezel looks pretty similar although a diff font

cant see words cuz iphone 3gs technologies.

Why you nohttp://cache1.bigcartel.com/product_...931387/300.jpg? :(

I have one, the tire has too much play if anything when starting out, getting it inside the rim isn't the problem, it just won't sit there. Can this be used for that as well? may need a tutorial if so!

hairnet 09-25-12 01:11 PM

You dont need it for an easy-on tire.

hamfoh 09-25-12 01:38 PM

swear I had the exact opposite problem when I first got the ribmos. they're worth the trouble though, zero flats to date

Use old toe straps to help keep the bead set before finishing the job off with the jack. ;)

Wrap them progressively between the tire and rim toward the remainder that's net set.

I had didn't want to cut my steerer tube on my own, so I went over there to get it done. I don't think I'll be going back there much for that kind of stuff anymore, though. Solidifies the saying "if you want it done right, do it yourself."

jackss731 09-25-12 02:01 PM

I love my ribmos! it makes me ride my bicycle more! :)

hamfoh 09-25-12 02:03 PM

I see what you did there

jimmytango 09-25-12 04:28 PM

Today I did this. A ton of it was slow as hell because my friend had never tightened anything on his bike and dropped a crankarm. There were four super slow miles afterward. Oh, and I took it easy after sliding about ten feet on my right hip and knee. Awesome.

LesterOfPuppets 09-25-12 04:37 PM

Pffft, didn't even cross the state line this time ;)

CJWIZVRDGVNG 09-25-12 05:11 PM

finished my de-anodize and polish job on my previously black dimension risers.

Nice polishing on the risers I've been wanting to do it for a bit but I think that it would look goofy with glow in the dark ourys.

Btw glow in the dark ourys barely glow in the dark and I regret buying them even though they were on sale

To the guy having issue with the Rimo Tire, watch this.

I've had Ribmo, Gatorhardshells and Marathons. Schwalbe Marathons are by far the hardest tire I have ever mounted, RIBMO's were pretty easy but I had the folding version.

hamfoh 09-25-12 08:19 PM

toe strap idea seems brilliant, will try tonight.

the tightness hasn't been a huge concern for me on tires ever since I bought that tool from scroddy. even find myself packing it in my bag for city rides for the 'just incase' factor

RGNY 09-25-12 08:33 PM

hmmm.....

may have to try some Ribmo's my next tire purchase (Spring, saving for winter studs right now).

have used Randos, Marathon Plus, and hardshell Gators. no problem mounting by hand. did not go blind, and have mad hand strength. wife was wrong about the interwebz. :)

almost got left hooked today. guy in the oncoming lane turned left in front of me (and the car next to me) with less than 10' to spare. really glad i saw him early and really really glad the car next to me didn't swerve onto me. the moron was texting while making a left turn. weird part is i have a guy on my caseload doing 7 1/2 to 12 years (vehicular manslaughter) for almost exactly the same thing. so dumb.

placed an order w/ Scrod, item was out of stock, and there was instant communication/resolution. best customer service.

fencing practice tonight, worked on Capo Ferro and, in a strange development, it didn't start raining until i got home. set up the Ridley w/ clip-on fenders for tomorrow's rainy commute.

zzzzz......

hamfoh 09-25-12 08:43 PM

the two best polo players in town also ride ribmos and they say they lasts way longer than anything else they've bought and are always awesome, however they're on the 26" version

Dannihilator 09-25-12 08:44 PM

Today I installed a new bottom bracket and crankset on the 930.

striknein 09-25-12 08:49 PM

Today I lusted after randonneur luggage. Cuz what I really need to do is add to the list of **** I can't really afford.

Muffin Man 09-25-12 08:50 PM

I put clipless pedals on my bike for the first time in a while and holy crap it was amazing.

FakeFuji 09-25-12 09:37 PM

Today I got in about 20 miles more than my usual commute for the first time in a while, also made it to work 3 minutes before I was supposed to be there :p
