Today I went over 2100 miles for the year so far. Down a bit from previous years, but I missed a month with a blood clot.

Yesterday I: did 25mi at 18.0 avg mph! (including waiting up for my riding buddy after the hills ) I was pretty proud of myself, pushed it pretty hard. Then I came into work thinking I was scheduled, but I wasn't. A mid shift guy was hung over so I covered the rest of his shift. Stoked.

Today I: Worked a busy 8 hour day, then went for a jog for the first time in years. Did 1.5mi and my calves are KILLING me. Didn't expect that. Also, if you smoke, even a little bit like I do, running really makes you notice it.

Tomorrow I will: Ride 36mi and shoot for a 17.0 avg, then work and hopefully not smoke on break.

Took Marv the Mountain Bike out for my first ride with townie bars. Called the wife and had her meet me downtown for Mexican food, then we walked around and had donuts for dessert. It was pretty perfect.

Volunteered at the co-op this afternoon and finally got around to re-lacing the front wheel on my '57 Peugeot.

Today I got rearended in my jeep at an intersection. It's the first time I've ever been in an accident (involving another person). We pulled into BK and after seeing only my clearcoat was scuffed and most of what looked like damage was just her paint on my paint I let it slide. Shouldn't take me 10 minutes to buff out.

Today I took a poll of my co-workers to see what percentage would actually eat Fig Newtons if they found a way to take the effn' seeds out. 92% said they would.

(Among new Fig Newton eaters who do not wear dentures and have a blood alcohol level of less than .05. Survey has an error rate of +/- 100%)

I have decided to rethink my diet after putting on so much weight this last year. More fiber, fewer processed carbs, more veggies. ****, I have become so lazy with my food.

and my dad decided to cut my bike project for my brother and bought him a BD bike for $400. Oh well
