Today is a sad day for my single speed. Dropped the hammer after countless test rides and got this. Brushed aluminum and pretty carbon parts.

Yeah, that pic always makes me shudder.

Devin, nice bike. I've been debating hard between a CAAD10 and an Allez.

For sure, between the CAAD10 and the Allez, the CAAD10 hands down. So pumped to order my Tarmac next week though.

Rival? Looks great.
I was thinking about getting one of those or a Felt Z6.

The debate partially stems from the fact that I can get an Allez at about $300 under retail.

today i set out to conquer 2 big hills in my area

defeated by the first one, shorter and sharper grade

second one i managed to do mostly in the saddle, longer and slightly less grade

get home and check strava to find that its all over the place, and it decided to omit the 2 climbs, (even though one is the highest point on the entire eastern seaboard) and just didnt record a big chunk after that.

i wish santa brought gps to guys with good school grades in july

Touche, I'm only going Specialized because that's what the shop I work part time at deals. I'd go Cannondale if I could get as good of a deal on one.

Yesterday I found out I have a pinched nerve in my back. **** really hurts.

Today I worked, aggravated that more, and then ordered nitto plugs from RG. The lizardskin ends wouldn't stay in and are ugly as sin

today i learned there's a difference between what's easy and what's right.

easy: blaming a SRAM chain (only thing available at the LBS aside from cheap candy-colored KMC) for being loud.

right: making sure the rear wheel is true, straight in the frame, checking the chain tension and cleaning/lubing.

it's suddenly very quiet. *derp*

Today I found that the front tire on the 930 was bulged and broke two axles on the dmr. Not a good day.

I got solid wooden ones a few months ago, but before that I had tunnels and I don't miss the noise at all.

Today I:

Tonight I helped some short woman at the Bikerowave. She had crashed her bike and then given a frame by her friend. Well, that friends's frame is a 62cm Centurion LeMans with all the Shimano 600 except for the front wheel. I am ready to purchase this bike. It is yellow too!

Kaz / Bryan , help! Today I'm jonesin' HARD for a breakfast burrito. But I'm in the west loop and all I have is Burrito Beach.
Know of any righteous breakfast burrito spots in greektown or the loop?

Sorry man, I have no idea. I'm in River North/Mag Mile and don't tend to venture into the loop very often.
