Today I finally got a chance to hang out with good friends at a great show in the sun (been raining non stop like always) - been way too busy lately.
Biked to the venue 42/18 super fun, hung out after the show, just biked home in a tank top and summer shorts with a nice breeze.
God some days I'm so happy to be alive.

Today I woke up feeling a little ill, but craved an energy drink, and wanted to run some errends(my mum has been helping out, offering rides to places, etc, because of my injury) And my mum was just going down to that side of town anyways to bring her significant other coffee, so got my energy drink on the way there, then went to the Natural Food Store, got some Ginger Ale and Elder Berry, then we made a few more stops (tried to make it to the thrift store before closing time and weren't lucky) went home, and I pulled out an old, beat up pair of Dickies that I'm going to work on and try to make some cycling payants, got some buttons from the Arts and Crafts store(button and zipper are torn off/don't work) than went back home and worked on those, they're doing well, but I tried to use a machine, which I'm better at doing it by hand, so they're a little silly, but it's a fun project none-the-less, and I finally get to do something with those damn Dickies that have been floating around for a few years now! And began talking to my Significant other on the phone around Midnight, because she had just got off work, and now I'm here, as usual.
Also, I was supposed to hang out with my friend today and ride a bit, and he was going to sell me a brand now Vittoria tire for my wheelset I'm building, but my calves were still killing me from two block ride the other day and it was a little late after my errends. Maybe early in this coming week we will get that done.

(yesterday) I: rode 37 miles on my Bianchi; rode my (OMG YAY) new Fuji to a bar with a great outdoor patio where I consumed beers and an awesome burger; rode to a friends house to chill a bit and have another beer; rode to another bar with a great beer list to meet more friends; rode home slightly intoxicated but happy and oh yeah IT WAS SUNNY AND WARM. Great day.

Today so far all I've done is make some Polish Easter bread because it's delicious.

yesterday I: raced the resurrection IV alleycat on the kilo without brakes and still came in 22nd of 50 some. and literally if i knew which part of gas works the finish was i probably would have been 13-15th because i climbed the kite hill twice looking for it.

and then i biked around lake washington to marymoor and down into bellevue to my cousin's house so the day totalled 28 race miles and 65 total miles. it was dark though and i was tired so i took a bus back because bellevue signage is ****ed up. they have two posts on two separate blocks that point at each other and say the route to seattle is the other post. ****ing ruin my life.

also, thursday i changed my cranks so the black elitas are on the cannondale and the ultegras are on the nashbar, but i haven't swapped the shifters out. i might just put the da shifters on the nashbar for now and wait till i built my road clinchers to swap them around.

it's sucky to do stuff to bikes when all i really want to do is save up for a gram primo inferno or a sram equipped rando bike.

Today I expected to get a new pair of glasses in the mail, and to get my bike back from the shop (had a Groupon for a tune-up). So far I have not heard anything about either one.

I guess I just have to walk home, mostly blind. (Ok not true, I have several other pairs of glasses and bikes and will take CTA home.)

Today I have way too much to do and not nearly enough time to do it all. Factor in a hangover (holidays spent with the Canadian-in laws are always a beer-fest) and it makes for a rough Monday.

Today I am annoyed with bike shops that force you to make an appointment for a tune-up, but don't actually make sure your bike gets worked on on the day of the appointment. Or even the next day. So add in that I had to drop the bike off Saturday because they weren't open yesterday and they'll have my bike for over 4 days.

I didn't even need the tuneup and could have done most everything myself. Stupid Groupon sucked me in and I had to use it before April 30.

Today I also got a private message from lilcphoto but can't respond because I don't have 50 posts yet. Not ignoring you!

I lost traction on a rather slow right turn, bike slides under me, pedal strike, subconscious bike handling skills to prevent death in traffic. I didn't crash, "NICE SAVE, DUDE!" Rode 50 feet so my rear tube could explode and unseat the tire. Surrounding people thought a gun went off and I got to walk a mile to get to class.

cool story, bro.

I dont have my 15 with me. First flat in a year, the one day I decide to ride in lycra to class and not carry much. Now I have to bus it

After a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, 21st birthday for my girlfriend on Easter Sunday, we tried Boiling Crab for the first time today, and it was AWESOME. plus, I just have to figure out a makeshift way to install this star nut, and her bike will be complete!
