Very admirable.
Good luck on your search, and best of luck to your wife. Tough spot to be in.

thanks. it's not horrible. i know folks that raise kids, have two cars and a much bigger mortgage that get by on less than i make.

it'll be most/all of our disposable income that's gone.

no new bikes for me. that may be a good thing though. more in depth wrenching and appreciating what i do have. no where near as bad as my old skateboard punk days where i was couch hopping in between stealing 40's of OE and hot dogs from gas stations.....

Today Angie caught a woman who had been breaking into our basement early in the morning to do her laundry using our washer and dryer. We knew something was fishy because every time we would do our laundry, all the settings would be changed around on our washing machine (I can't even count how many times I got falsely accused of washing our clothes using hot water). The lady tried to say that she used to work for our landlord and that he said it was okay - even though she couldn't tell Angie what his name is.

What the hell?

Today I finally was able to get back on BF; the servers just wouldn't connect to my ISP yesterday after midnight for some odd reason.

[strike]Today[/strike] Yesterday, I spent my Sunday with the sqrl at Old Town and ended up acquiring a few unplanned for pieces of art for the house.

The pair.

First and third from the right; the lower two saucer shaped ones at the bottom of the table.

I just had two cavities filled. And my face feels so awesome. I love it. I want to kiss someone.

and for the first couple minutes it looked like I had a stroke.

I'm glad it was Angie and not me. She said she went downstairs to put some stuff away and found the basement door wide open, the washing machine running and three giant bags of clothes next to the dryer. She was dragging the clothes outside to throw them in the back yard when the lady approached her and said "Hey! Those are my clothes!", to which Angie responded "This is my ****ing house!"

whoa!

dude, no shortage of crazy....

i've got a kid on my caseload who, for two years, entered a family's house while they slept. he would "bad touch" them in their sleep and take personal items. -his- family knew about it the whole time...

Today a woman who was in town for CMWC accused Tiny Fix of being "just groupies" on her public twitter account. I am not going to get into it any more here because this is a public site that is well indexed by search engines, but let's just say we disagree and we're pretty angry about it. But, things being what they are, all that would happen if we defend ourselves is look like we're contributing to the drama so we're just staying silent publicly (while ranting quite a bit to our friends and family).

Some good rage fuel for the commute home, though.

**** her. She doesn't know you guys, so she can't judge. **** that ****.

Today I got a gentle nudge from a car in the parking lot of my shop while test riding a customer's bike. Just enough of a nudge to send me into the curb, fall over, and land on the pocket my two-week-old phone was in. Dude that hit me was on the phone and eating a burger, admitted fault, bought the customer a new bike (similar to his old one) on the spot, walked with me to the Verizon store in the strip mall and paid for me to order a new phone, and drove away in his Land Rover. Good times.
