Ive just been looking for a cheap frame to put my spare wheelset on and I used to have a trek 400 but it was stolen out of my friends van

Today I got a rejection email from the job I had gone on THREE rounds of interviews for. Sigh.

That's frustrating, sorry to hear.

Uggh. I hate those protracted interview gigs. I think I spent about 12 hours interviewing for a job at Nike, but no dice!

Jandro 08-09-12 10:39 AM

Heh, those Subarus are sweet. We have one on display outside my office. It's funny to see people taking pictures with it when they visit the campus!

solipsist716 08-09-12 11:00 AM

Tonight I'm going to see Algernon Cadwallader and Joyce Manor at the Funeral Home. Getting a ride in before the supposed thunderstorm rolls in.

prooftheory 08-09-12 11:02 AM

I keep trying to avoid thunderstorms but they never seem to actually happen. Google had rain up for almost all of July and my lawn would beg to differ.

Cynikal 08-09-12 11:27 AM

Same thing here. A potential job I was working on for a about a year fell apart yesterday. Today I am a little hungover.

Sorry to hear that. I know you were hoping to get that one.

Guys, this year ****ing blows. I mean, the first few months were rad, but since late March it's just been one ****-storm after another. I got fired/laid-off/****ed out of a job, took a gig at a bike shop getting half the money but triple the happiness, and my wife and I thought we were going to make it. I mean, there wasn't going to be tons of money left over, but the bills would be paid and we would have food. Today, she found out that her company more or less folded. The only people left are VP level and above. everything else got outsourced. Now, we're kinda ****ed. Also, our new couch was supposed to have been delivered a week ago and still isn't here, my replacement phone from when the guy hit me was "overnighted" to me on Tuesday and still isn't here so I'm using the biggest piece of **** phone I've had since 2001 or so, my drivetrain is making some strange noises that I'm in no mood to investigate, and I'm damned hangry. ****, man.

Scrodzilla 08-09-12 04:48 PM

This I like. I saw Algernon a while back and it was super nice, despite the sharty venue.

DanBell 08-09-12 07:45 PM

Yesterday I put new wheels and cog on the bike. Today I rode my bike with new wheels and cog. New wheels are sweeeet. New gearing (46x15) is much nicer for this city. I'm quite pleased with myself.

I know exactly what you mean. My younger brother just graduated high school a few months ago, and all of his friends are idiots. Idiocracy is actually going to happen, and that really scares and saddens me.
