Today I ordered some GP4KS. Double flatted on the way home last night, and ended up stranded. Upon further examination, my tires are pretty beat up. Good excuse to order new ones.

Today I got a really angry e-mail from a customer in Singapore who bought a DA 7600 hub because I taped the box it comes in shut before shipping it. He was mad because he wanted to keep the box and it got ruined when he removed the tape.

OMG IT'S BECAUSE YOU WERE USING AN ALL CITY COG AND LOCKRING ON A NON ALL CITY HUB AND THE LOCKRING WAS HANGING OFF THE THREADS TOO MUCH.

Just kidding. Sucks though.

Today my mom decided to ruin my favorite pair of bib shorts. Washed them on hot, with like 5 pairs of my jeans, then proceeded to throw them in the dryer... all the threads are coming lose, and the seam down the leg is done.

I've told everyone in my house, many, many, times not to wash anything cycling related...

It probably got loose while you were working on the wheel and when you torqued up the track bolt it cracked the spacer.

Although I line dry if it's sunny out. They start out so nice and crispy after a good line dry.

That scenario makes a lot of sense. I figured these things were supposed to be nigh indestructible, so I was really surprised.

LessonLearned is technically back from ban but currently restricted to Trollheim.

I'm not sure what happened to GMJ. I know he's not banned.

Repeated overtightening will eventually crack those spacers too.
