Thanks! I'm definitely impatient as well, but I definitely wouldn't trust myself to be able to put the bike together. It was actually included in their normal shipment from Felt, so I need to finalize the size/color, pay for it, then ride it home!

Took an exam I didn't know about until literally the minute before I took it.

Managerial Accounting. I didn't feel too good about it but I think my tires are coming in today, so all is gravy :)

Got hired at the local Bike store: Neighborhood Bike Works. I'm going to be running the "bike salons" every wed night if any of you are familiar with that, as well as working on bikes during regular shop hours within the week.
I got lucky with a higher position of employment opposed to the entry level position, and once adequately trained I will be the one to interview and train possible employees in the future.

I start tomorrow. :)

Today I started hitting the gym again. Did a two mile run and a few sets each of seated leg press, chest press, and back row. Feelin' good.

Today I scored two NOS Ukai box section rims, skinny as hell and double walled.

These things are the bomb and should build up nicely to provide me with some bulletproof wheels for the Kabuki.

Thats awesome for you!

I tried to work at my local bike shop (was just recently built in my suburb.) They said no because the manager, and I quote "didn't believe I could sell bikes to older people using a bike as an outlet to coup with the death of their spouse." WTF?? I've lived in my suburb for a long time and RARLY see elderly people riding bicycles.

They told me no, and hired a guy I went to high school with who has 200 pounds on me. Me, skinny cyclist that has and is building both a road and cross bike + beginning to ride track, and hired a guy who I can guarantee hasn't been on a bike since middle school.

Ah well /end rant, on to better things. I got a better job anyway!

Today I got in a very mountainous 67 miles.

dude, you ripped the person off. kilos are only worth $25

calv 10-25-11 08:07 PM

Well, I must have ripped off the entire bike shop then, because the girl who bought it had a bike mechanic for a boyfriend. The bike went through 3 mechanics before she handed me the money.

I think he's yanking your chain because in another thread someone purchased a likely-stolen Kilo frameset for $25.

I could be wrong though, its happened before.

Today, aside from finding philwood's use of proprietary adapters being a killjoy, I finally got my server back home up and running after finding out one of my cycling buddies' friend, who I got to know really well recently when he came down here for a conference/ vacation, works as a hardware engineer for apple HQ; long story short the fruits of friendship paid off quite well topped with a free server install of lion.

Today I received my new bullhorns, birthday gift from my dad, and wrapped them myself. First time, felt pretty good about it, and I think I did a pretty good job with it!

My EighthInch chain ring was attempted to be delivered to my old house today, now it will be sent 5 hours away to my parents house and I'll have to wait for my mother to send it back down to me.

Today, I changed my eBay address so this doesn't happen again, despite my PayPal address being correct.

That sucks :( Waiting for shipping is one of my first-world problems.

Today I'm tackling a business law and a marketing midterm. So many random lists and terms floating in my head right now.

It's the worst! Fortunately, the S300's I ordered from Scrod come with the 48T chainring, I'll just have to deal with 48/15 for a week. 84GI? No problem...
