But that's you choosing to use a smaller gear, which slows you down. You have larger gears at your disposal, use those and I bet your times improve. It's all about maximizing your effort with the appropriate gear/cadence. Also don't forget large quantities of rule #5.

Yeah, I'm lazy like that. I have one wheel with a 12-28. I often limit out that cog so I don't use it when I know I shouldn't be.

This diet seems to be working out. A month in, and I've lost 15 pounds. Good times.
|
What kind of diet are you doing?
|
Taking a break today because I did over 235 miles this week(new record!).

Today I'm hung over after liberally washing down a sudden, unceremonious firing after 3 days at a job. I've worked in kitchens for years and have never seen a person let go after 3 days (except in cases of theft or violence).
Plus the owner fired me over the phone! If you can't hack it, get one of your sous chefs to say it to my face! The way I've always seen it, you walk into work, someone says, "hey, before you change, we gotta talk," then you take your walk of shame. Maybe things are different out here on the left coast. I dunno. Silver lining: Moar time for bieks! Just not right now because I feel like my brain's cage fighting with my skull. |
are you the one that just moved to seattle?

Today a customer tipped me with a 12 pack of High Life. I apologize in advance if anyone gets anything weird in their packages.

Dude, that's bull****. It's stuff like that that made me decide to ditch kitchens. It just isn't worth it anymore.

If you ever make it down to Chambana... Or winter break when the weather is at its best! |
Jesus... I do need to get down there. You heard Carmon's is closing, right? Josh, the chef there, is starting a pop-up dinners thing.
