Looks like they've upgraded the Tardis since the last time I watched the good doctor (i.e. Tom Baker).

Oh that's not the TARDIS, that's another spaceship they had boarded.

today i got out of work and as i was about to mount my bike, i noticed a hardened crust of bird**** on my saddle.

scraped that **** off back inside at work and went on my merry way

blasted past some dude commuting home on an old touring bike hovering at the top of a hill waiting for the light to change
got to the bottom of the hill and light turned green at the perfect time

/cant stop dont want to.

Bikes: BMX, fixed gear

I'm tempted to send another email to a craigslister after he never replied to the one I sent yesterday.

And on the note of today, it was a monday. It was long, I had a lot to do for classes, and it was a little warm out. The wind helped with that, except for when I was out on the bike. That really sucked.

sorry, it never occurred to me that the Doctor boarding a spaceship was unusual enough to be considered a spoiler. the title of the episode (season 7 ep 2) is enough to make that clear.

because of scheduling craziness at work, i have to drive tomorrow. first time since March. sucks so bad.

group ride tonight ended early because someone has asthma, stopped smoking, pounded three beers beforehand, crashed hitting a curb and then tried to take a serious hill that sent them into an asthma attack that nearly made us call an ambulance. why do people not take care of themselves?

the wife looked at cycling jersey and base layer-type patterns and said it would take her about 45min to make either (long time costumer). now i'm looking at the fabric sites for stretch merino. add the socks she knits me and i should be all set for winter commuting.....

Bikes: Kona Unit, Kona Kahuna, Kona Dew DL, Scott Big Jon, Trek Checkpoint ALR4, KHS Urban Soul, Haro Team Issue, GT Force Expert Carbon, Bernardi Quadra.

Today I put CX tires on my big block and went night riding with the MTB dudes on some local trails, my first time riding skinny tires on dirt, loose rocks and all that. Lots of fun, 46x18 gearing was very hard but I made through it without walking the bike. Everyone was riding 27 speed mountain bikes with front or full suspension, its fun being the odd one in the group.
Now I really want a dedicated SSCX bike with an easier gearing and better brakes for all the trails around here. If anyone wants to donate a Nature Boy to me, It'd be great. And everyone should slap some CX tires on their bikes and go ride some dirt. I was running 700x30 Schwalbe CX pro's and riding on the freewheel.

Doing it at night makes it a lot more fun, and less tiring since it's too hot in the morning/afternoon around here lately and the trails are very dusty. Beeing able to see just the beam of your headlight turn any regular trail into a brand new experience. And now I have to commute on dirty bike tomorrow morning , and it's supposed to to hit 38 degrees Celsius about 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Having a seamstress handy is always awesome. My mom has been sewing since long before I was born, and has made me all sorts of awesome stuff. The last thing she made me was a cycling cap out of some linen/cotton I had sitting around from cutting some pants into shorts. And she did mention once that she could make me a wind vest if I could find the right material for her.

I was joking, though I am only on season six.

The cables that anchor at the BB guides are attached to the sidewalk. It's cantilevered.

Today I overhauled my drive train. The axle nuts/locknuts on my Novatec hub somehow came undone and now the bearings are a bit rough. New 20t ALL City cog, KMC chain, and Shimano cartridge BB. I bought a gold k710 SL but it did not have enough links ok, so I took a link from the previous K710 to make up and now all is well, but still :-/

Today or should I say yesterday, I stumbled upon this 1000% completely random bakery and proceeded to give the owners whoever/ whatever they are (they were absentee when I was there unfortunately), some of my money:

I haz no regrets. Gud food was found dat day. Sqrl approved.
